  • This is the right way of playing Tommy the Cat. Well done.

  • THAAAANK you. finally an instructional by someone who ACTUALLY knows how to play the song. helped a bunch.

i'm just amazed at how many people out there think it's appropriate for them to teach others when they can't even play the songs they're teaching well or remotely correctly. but i digress. thanks again man.

  • NIce bongo bass man. was goinna get one but they're over 2500 euro!!

  • Awesome. I was hoping to find your version slowed down. Thank you

  • whatttt whenever i watch him live he mutes the E. Ill have to listen to recording more closely. maybe ill find this way better

  • Listen to the recording from the album "Suck On This", and it's easier to hear the chromatic fall on the E-string. He used to play this song more slowly in the early days.

  • ive never seen it played this way lol

but you sir, are a beast at bass!

    lol

  • thank you for succumbing! =)

  • ive the same keyboard. good work

  • Notice that in this video, I am playing the riff "correctly", whereas in the original video of me playing it at full-speed I was substituting ghost notes for the A-Ab-G "falling notes". Les plays it both ways, sometimes a mix of the two, depending partly on which bass he's playing and how fast he's playing the riff.
