Oh yes, I forgot about Ambermoon. Maybe the breeder can set you up with some contacts, easier yet, start a Wisconsin Kooikerhondje fan club and see what hits you get. Good luck! :)
My girl is a mix, not purebred. I know of a woman in Texas who is a breeder (Vonlins) and a friend of mine in Mountain View, Calif. who is considering becoming the West Coast breeder, she has 3 kooikers and we have another friend with a male, we often train together and it has been great fun! Good luck!
@Wendy1Mollie Hello. We live in Ithaca, NY, but we got Sequoia from Ambermoon Kooikerhondje in Wisconsin. We still would love to see another Kooiker, but have yet to do so. All the best.
WesCuijpers - what state do you live it? I've found Kooiker friends here in California! There are 8 in California that I know of so far and my friend just founded a Kooiker club and they had their first pot-luck get-together this afternoon near Sacramento. On Facebook you can check out Kooikerhondje Society of America and also Kooikerhondje Club of the United States. (cont below)
best way of vinden kooikerhondjes is by looking around Naarden and Muiden its where this little piece of dutch miracle was originally bred, dont know if there are any litters around the Naardermeer at this point but my uncles neighbours have a couple of them
Thanks! We were wondering how common Kooikers are in the Netherlands....do you see them commonly as you walk around towns? Or are they still pretty rare? In the USA, no one has ever even heard of them...and we ourselves have never met another Kooiker except Sequoia's brother the day we got her.
@jclune In the netherlands they aren't rare. I've got one just for 7 months. and I saw like 8 kooikers here in my nieghbourhood of 4000 people so no. they aren't rare in the Netherlands :D
@WesCuijpers9cr7x Thanks for letting us know. You're lucky to be able to see others so often! We still have never seen another Kooiker, and almost no one we talk to has ever heard of them.

Such a pretty little dog. I'd love to have one someday, but seems they're pretty hard to come by (even here in the Netherlands).
