Vote NO on Maine's Question 1

Unfortunately it's not just religious beliefs that are in the way. It's people's comfort level and shitty opinions on a subject they know next to nothing about. My condolences on account of the outcome; I can't imagine how hurt and angry I'd be if that happened in my province. Gay marriage is staying for good in Canada; it's been here for 4 years and hasn't been challenged since. I just wish there was something I could do to help the LGBT cause in the states.

I have to say, I love your positive energy. OMG it's November the 3rd already!!!! I have no idea if people will vote to allow same-sex marriage. I feel as if the whole world (at least lgbt people is watching their hopes be voted at the ballot box). I'm in Puerto Rico, a US territory and I know just like sodomy laws were decriminalized through Federal intervention this vote may eventually grant me a right to work and not be afraid of being fired, even marry. freedom must feel great.

I hope you're wrong, but it's hard to get our hopes up, isn't it? I was so sure Prop 8 would be defeated. I don't want to feel that disappointment again.
