I think a big reason why ron paul lost the SC primary was because for one, he didn't campaign much there since he had to go to washington and vote against raising the debt ceiling (i.e.doing his job like a real honest american), and of course the first SC debate when he was booed for mentioning the golden rule, even though that state prides itself on being Christian.
