Actually, I heard when they audition at young ages, it's a requirement that they be able to act, sing, and also dance. I could be wrong, though. Somebody correct me if I am!

I think that's also why it's called "Disney Syndrome". They all have to be so well-rounded in the SAME exact areas, which makes it really difficult for one star to stand out. Maybe they're trying to make it so that not one is viewed as more talented than the rest? Of course, with select stars, there is an overwhelming amount of fan popularity, like with Cyrus, Gomez, Jonas Bros., Efron, Lovato, etc., so we hear so much more about them than all the others.
