It was at this very point that Bungie had reached its height of quality with Halo 2. Whilst Halo 2 did make the game look slightly more cartoony (which eventually led to the art direction becoming more and more juvenile in the later series), it was Halo 2's multiplayer that simply made this game it was, no other game even by bungie has come close to it, not even Halo 3...... it took skill to play Halo 2 MP... and the ranking system worked perfectly. If they re-released this today, I guarantee people would buy it, just for multiplayer. It's no different than a remastered movie, and Reach didn't turn out that big of a success (mostly because people are attached to CoD).

Halo 1 - Best Campaing.

Halo 2 - Revolutionary campaing and dual wield, best multiplayer.

Halo 3: ODST - Great campaing and New Mombasa is just awesome and soundtrack is very memorable. Gotta love firefight, better than Reach have.

Halo 3 - Nice ending for the trilogy, but nothing legendary..

Halo Reach - Nice campaing but didnt use all potential in it, multiplayer is poor with class system and most unbalanced this far.

Thats pretty much what you can say about the games.

@Kaboose666 Well, each kind of Armor Ability (Or what you call a Power-Up) can cancel out or be equal with other power-ups. Well, take this for an example: Sprint and Evade are the same. You can move faster, dodge bullets or grenades, and even dodge your enemies. Camouflage and Hologram are another example. Also, don't forget that you can cancel out a sword lunge from killing you just by hitting the guy at the same time he lunges.

dude, ODST was around way before the game, they were mentioned in the book Halo:Fall of Reach which was written before halo 1, and released very close to the release of Halo 1, as well as shown in Halo 2.

abnd everyone else, ODST isnt SWAT, they're Orbital Drop Shock Troopers, a volenteer military section in which your dropped from orbit to planet and set out on missions, usually recon.
