  • Square should make bushido blade 3 for ps3 and make it PS MOVE compatible

    :D

  • This game needs to come back. Same exact engine and playstyle. Better graphics. More weapons.

This game (not the first one, but just this one) was unreal. The thought that every slash and stab could be the one that kills you really causes a person to step up their game a bit. No combos, no health bars, no special moves. Just a fight. We don't have any good "Fight" games. We have punchkick fighting games. Not Fight games.

  • @Delroxorz - I agree. In fact, I still play the Japanese release of this game.

  • @Delroxorz lol, "no special moves"? noob! there were special moves for all characters! go play bushido blade and reflect upon this! :0

  • @T3hDeadly I'm talking about no "Shinku Gosatsu Hadouken!" or "Hokuto Hyakuretsu Ken!" stuff.

  • @Delroxorz as Tatsumi or Utsusemi: ←, → + O, O, X, O, X, O

    nuff said!

  • 0:53 always lol'd

  • This was one opening I didn't dare skip! lol! This was my first game on the PS1. Thanks for the upload! Its so nostalgic :))

  • If you guys want to play the Bushido Blade fighting style on your PS3, download The Deadliest Warrior video game for $10 Except for the HP bars and time limit, its as close as you can get to this game, and I think they did a pretty good job of capturing it.

  • idk a game like this ever existed before??? is it still downloadable??

even square soft made this shit around 1998 unbelievable i overlooked this game

  • I like the way how Japanese classic music was mixed up with heavy metal riffs xD kinda awesome :D

  • Ah I remember this intro so well, it was for a long time one of my favourites.

  • I used to play this at an old friends house... damn I miss Jamie.

  • This game is Epic

  • Bushido Blade and its sequel has to be one of the most difficult games I've ever played, because if its one hit kill combat system.

    My favorite character was Mikado.

  • I am only 13, so I only played a few of these, but I thought KotOR was phenomenal.

  • if u never played FF7 on the PS1 or PS2 , you have no idea what ur missing, find it get it play it love it and i promise u there will be no other one player game so enthralling

  • BTW this is a really great game, esp. playing w/ a best friend that u guys can compete over anything, this game offers u a fast pace , chest like manuevering esp , because of its realistic one hit kill system (if u get a potent -decisive hit).. ull just have to mind the quaint graphics... buh its a pure classic

  • i remember playing this before i could read. i think i did pretty good for being so young. i kicked ass with the one dude with the duel swords

  • best ps1 opening music song and the theme all match well unfortunately square and light weight got into some arguments and will never make a bushido blade 3. but now that made a new game called kengo which uses the same bushido blade fighting system.

  • Epic opening.

  • i love this game

  • yap yap BUSHIDO Blade 3 !!!!

    wit fatal slshes from bb1

Square, c'mon, stop playing wit urself,

SQUARE u know u want to.

  • This and Crash Bandicoot were my first real video game experiences. and I miss it.

  • This and the version of Moment of Soaring on the OST are freaking awesome.

  • greatest fighting game ever. the more realistic dueling takes it lightyears ahead of childish games like Soul Calibur games.

  • Ah, BB.....

  • It was pritty good and kinda weird.

  • this brings back lots of memories

  • Bushido Blade 3

Parasite Eve 3 (for something OTHER THAN cell phones...)

    Einhander 2

Come on, Square!! You know you wanna!!

  • your comment is the best comment i've read for ages!you're right, dude

  • @Thinker302 4real

  • I Remeber Playing this game way back and i wanted to play it again after seeing Kill Bill

    oh the lovely memories

  • why is this game sooooo amazing?

  • This game rocked, I was hoping they would continue with sequels in which u could rip body parts away, that would seem like a natural progression for the game quality.

  • i luv this game ive beaten it 6 times

  • Bushido Blade 2 was cool! This brings back so many memories... I was obsessed with this game; why didn't they continue the series??? Now would be a good time to start this series again. Though it involves swords, I think it would be really different from soul calibur.

  • I cannot believe how they could make such crap after part 1. Part 1 was close to perfect. And then they made this shit. Really sad. Nice Intro, though.

  • Glad to know I'm not alone on this one. The atmosphere between the two games is drastic in contrast.

  • Not only the atmosphere, dude.

The models and the moves as well as the damage control, all of it was made worse. :( I dunno why.

More action for the kids, I guess. Bleh.

  • I miss this game alot.

  • great game :D

    thanks for the opening

  • Do you mean Kengo: Master Of Bushido? Love Bushido Blade 2 use to play it when I was younger. Does anyone know where I can get this game from? I live in the London

  • ahhhh try ebay

  • Yeah just looked it up on IGN & yeah that's the game I meant heh, Ty

  • Don't remember the name but there's 1 game like Bushido Blade for the PS2, but overall it can't beat classics like B. Blade 1 & 2

  • it a shame now square it just ff(rpg) related games..

  • agree

  • yeeaaahhhh! such kickass traditional japanese music-modernized for a classic slash-em up PS1 game! thanks for posting!
