i love this show I like Don's character at home but i hate the fact he cheats behind his beautiful wife, well it is obvious in America, most of American men cheats even have sex with men in side.
The abbreviation "lunch" has been used to describe the midday meal in English since the early nineteenth century, so it is entirely likely they may have used the word in the '60's. "Lazy" is a term more aptly applied to people who don't look things up, rather than to language itself.

Where's Donald Duck. And if this is 'retro' ( the 60s ?) The word 'lunch' was not used. We had Breakfast, Dinner and Supper. 'Lunch' is a lazy language word that makes me gag.

Ah... those were the days when a husband came home to his wife (who could cook w/o a microwave) and have the dinner on the table. I'de give up the internet for that!
i don't mean to seem high brow but i think that was implied by the time he said your friend charlie he can "MAKE THINGS HAPPEN"
which led to the latter of his article being published in boys life magazine--- meaning only a boy would do that to his woman to get his self published a real man would have gotten it done through other means
Pete's wife is sugar sweet !!1 I think she would eventually get bored with him . If I was there , Trudie would'n t be in bed reading articles . Hot Sex On A Platter !!!!1
I fucking hate Baby-boomers. Fucking rich entitled indulgent consumers.

Trudy is so beautiful and sweet. I feel bad for her, stuck with a manipulative guy like Pete (though he IS really sexy)
This scene reminds me of what a selfish husband Pete used to be. Remember when he ate up Trudy's Valentine chocolates that HE got for HER? lol

A lot of people think Trudy is annoying, but one thing people can't deny is that the woman is a phenomenal wife.

he obviously loves hunting. The story is about hunting and later he gets a gun and tells peggy about that creepy hunting fantasy he has.

The thing that really makes Pete Campbell such a creep is that he uses his wife to get something done just to appease his vanity.

Did any of you idiots Notice the meaning behind these short-cut scenes?
He wanted her to sleep with the guy so he can have his stupid article published in the New york timers.

@bonions911 Right. In this early season, I wondered why Pete married Trudy at all. It's like he married for convenience, not love.

It's a funny show. And I love everything retro so it works. And Jon Hamm is pretty easy on the eyes. Yummy!
