I have read the book before, and I greatly enjoyed it. Things are always much more when you understand them, for instance many people dislike Shakespeare just because they don't comprehend it. I believe there are a few children's editions where they modernized the speech a bit in the Prince and the Pauper, have you tried looking for them?
