WOW! Im not a huge Steve Miller fan, even though he was born just Mins. from where I live in Wisconsin. But having said that, I loved your cover. The improv was very cool. As for the Strat v Paul debate, they are both great guitrs. As for me ,Im not a brand snob. I play what I like and what feels right in my hands. True music comes from the heart of the player not the brand of the instrument.

still, a les paul studio in Sweden (where I live) cost about $1900, so they are a lot cheaper in the US. I would like to own a strat (since I have a les paul), but when I tried it out it didn't agree with me... it was really hard to play it(!)

The biggest difference (besides pick-up configs) is the scale of the guitar. Les Pauls and most other gibson/epiphones are 24.75 scale. Which makes for less string tension (helps bends, vibrato, etc..) Most fenders are 25.5 scale which makes the strings tighter and more poppy sounding. It really all depends on the sound you want. But the above comment saying that strats are a joke compared to nice les pauls is pony loaf. Play a nice strat and you will say otherwise. Truly they both rock!

haha i have the new 1000$ strat model, which is amazing, and i still think my friends lespaul is far superior. but thats personal preference. one thing i dont like about the strat is its weak distortion compared to the les paul. its not bad distortion, just nothing in comparison. yes, i agree both guitars rock
