William is the Stryker from X2 and X3, and that Stryker's son (X2) is Jason, so this Stryker has to be the father, not the same Stryker we've seen in previous films.

@BlestTheJediThug From what I understand, First Class was supposed to be a reboot, not a prequel or anything like that. Almost every time they create a new timeline they reimagine the world events but the personal relationships and events tend to come up similar. If they just remade the storyline exactly the same but with enhanced art, or in the case of the movies, new actors and better special effects, they would have been out of a job the third time around.

@BlestTheJediThug I saw a movie called "The Wolverine" on IMDB set to star Hugh Jackman and it had a few news articles linked to it, some of them were a pretty interesting read, you should check it out. Looks like it may get bumped up to an R rating, which I would enjoy but I think I'd rather have it PG-13 and then get an unated DVD/BD release to make sure they make enough money to keep pumping them out until their contract is up, provided they can keep a decent measure of quality.

Xmen First Class is the beginning of a new reboot. all the past movies are actually being ignored.there will be sequels from this movie to get Wolverine to join them.but, also, Xmen origins Wolverine is getting remade as well. it's titled,"The Wolverine" instead now.

omg, really it just irritates me so bad the more i think about it. Tyler Mane for example was Sabertooth in the first movie.nothing was ever discussed about his relationship with Wolverine until finally Xmen origins came out.But the way The Last Stand was made,Xavier ended up transferring into another body. even Magneto discovered that he still had some powers left.How could they not do a sequel after that instead of fucking Origin movies?with the way they explained Xavier was fucked up horribly

@BlestTheJediThug, i wasn't into the comics either. i grew up in the 90's watching Xmen and Spiderman cartoons mostly. i'm more of a spiderman fan really because i can name plenty of his villains.i mean, i can name plenty of xmen villains,but i'm not very familiar with their stories to put it in an easier way for you to understand that.most of the time, i just look at pictures and read the villains stories at wikipedia. i have all of spiderman's memorised, but not all of the Xmen's villains
