  • If you follow the recommended schedule, a child born in the last ten years would receive a total of 36 injections from birth through second grade, but a total of 79 doses because some of the vaccines are double and triple dose, such as MMR. (measles, mumps, rubella). For a child born in the eighties, the schedule called for 12 shots. Check out the video I posted yesterday, Vaccinations Or Not.

  • I def do not think 4 is the magic number. To be honest, if it were up to me, I would not have either of my girls vaccinated at any age. That's how strongly I believe in the bodies natural immuniuty. However, living in the state that we do, there is SO much bs you have to go through to get a non-vaccinated child into school. So... 4 just happened to be the magic # bc it would allowed us time to space the ones she was required to get out and not bombard her system all at once.

  • I don't understand how you believe that it's best for an immune system to build itself naturally......up until the age of 4? Why is 4 the magic number when natural immunity stops working?

  • I guess those large heads are needed to retain that surplus of common sense. like yourself I'm not anti vaccination but with all the cases of contamination that have come to light it seems as though there is more risk to one's health taking the shots than not..much love and respect to you and all the other dirt lovers out there who listen to themselves and not their TV sets .

  • @boosomentity Why thank you-- I couldn't agree more!!! Sad but true--we're run by the media which does an amazing job of creating fear in people. "Dirt lovers", I like that!;-)

  • your awesome.. my sisters doing the same thing.. i wish i would have done the research myself.. my daughters ALWAYS sick.. ALL THE TIME.. i feel like i've somehow.. idk.. robber her of her childhood..

  • @ooyeababii Awww...thanks! Yeah, I def take pride in the decisions I've made when it comes to my girls health. They're two of the healthiest little girls I know. With that said, I wouldn't beat yourself up over the decisions you've made. Not many people know they have a choice! Do you give her the flu shot? As I mentioned in my vid, most of my friends insist on giving their kids the flu shot every season, and with out fail, they're ALWAYS sick! Good for you sister and GOOD luck to you!

  • We waited until my son was 12 months old and in perfect health.

My wife had heard about this new disorder called autism so we waited.

    That was 1999.

Within 72 hours he went into shock and his brain and internal organs were severely damaged.

He is now now 12 and is at the level of a 3 year old. He requires 24 hour round the clock care.

    Connect the dots...

  • @ScrapGoldBusiness Wow...sorry I didn't respond sooner. This is my first time checking in in a while. I just got goose bumps reading your story. That is horrible!!! If you wouldn't mind--please tell me more details. I would love to speak up in your sons name. I am always sharing my beliefs with as many people as possible. It is storys like this one that gives the debate much strength. Not to mention, your son a voice!!!

  • 50 injections!!! That's crazy! I am 20 weeks now the whole idea of vaccinations is freaking me out! but here in the UK the biggest issues is around the MMR - Measles/Mumps/Rubella combined injection!! I have never heard of Dtap until this video from you! I will be asking my GP tomorrow. Also in UK we don have a choice of pharmaceutical company to go with!!! I'm still in 2 minds about if i will consent to giving my baby the K shot when she is born!! I never knew it would be so complex!

  • @Gucci2401 I know right! And to think, the average person doesn't think twice about it. Call me crazy--but it seems like kids these days are sicker than ever before. Go figure! My daughter on the other hand, has only had to take antibiotics 2x in her life. Don't be surprised though, when your Dr. tries to scare the crap out of you. Especially when he or she know's you're on the fence. That is their job. Now what is the K shot?

  • ...etc (well we do through taxes - not not specifically each appointment and what-not) so I guess that would be a major factor in the US (I know that is not the case with you). If I ever had another child I would do stuff differently... but I suppose what mother wouldnt?! Great video! xx

  • You put your opions out there well hun! Not like some people on here that force theirs! Hollys' had all her injections till she is 5 now, but you got me thinking - maybe I should have done more research... I suppose I felt that I had no choice in the matter. Here in the UK, you don't really hear about ppl not vaccinating, but our health service is different to your in the US. In the UK we don't have to pay for vaccinations/hospitals...

  • @dizzymiss1983 Thanks chica! Yeah...most people never stop to think. We just put our faith in Dr's and our health care system. Most people don't know either, that every shot they pay for, a certain percentage goes into a fund for children that get sick or potentially die from the shot. Sure the % is low, but it does happen. Kinda crazy! I'm glad you liked it though. I'll probably do another follow-up! xo

  • Great video! I'm pregnant now and thinking I do not want my baby to be vaccinated as well. Do u have any books u can recommend so I can do more research? Thanks!

  • @stephensley Sure...I actually let my sister use the books I had before she had her baby and have yet to get them back. I will however, and let you know.
