The thing thats relay anoys me is that we hear in the UK did not about it unless we checked the internet. Infact i did not know about after a couple months after it closed
In the last weeks they started doing a behind the scenes tour and i was in the very last group to take it i got a certificate and everything. We actually got to go inside the simulator room and stand under one of the shuttlecraft and watch the show it was really cool.
i took the behinds the scenes tour back in august, best money i ever spent, really wish they would have allowed cameras though, espeically on the bridge. But they are bringing the Expirence back at the neopolitian
I was there this summer for the last day, it was really sad. All the employees that played the characters had all been there since the beginning (except for one) and were basically told to not let the door hit you on the way out.
I know I heard and a month later a friend and I spend a couple days there right beofre it closed. I't BS. I spoke to one of the enployees and he said that after Paramount sold Star Trek to CBS, the compony under them that accualy owned The Experience just out of the blue said to close it. In addition he also said that the compony was such an ass that they told the Hilton that they were not to hold a job fair for all the enployees. I will miss it in all it's glory.
Well thankfully, The Experience is reopening at Neonopolis. For those who dont know, Neonopolis is a complex near Freemont Street in Downtown Las Vegas.
Really? Is there an official press release or something? When is it planned to be open again? Will it be the same thing? I wouldn't think so, since the Hilton hotel itself was part of the story and effects in the old rides. If you have more news, please let me know... via comments or via mail (links etc.) Thanks a million! Cheers!
Well, theres no 'official' press release, however Neonopolis did confirm it to In Business Las Vegas. I'll send you the link here in a minute, since I cant post a link here in a comment. =/
Unfortunately Neonopolis lost the rights so we won't be seeing a new ST: The Experience there. Damn.
