@RadicalSituation The quality of th esound recorded is not bad but it suffers the same problem of all compact cameras which is handling noise and wind noise on the unshielded mic.

everyone can i ask you guys something? :D i'm wondering if IXUS 130 is better than A3100 IS ? Ixus 130 is more expensive than A3100 IS but i dont think thats a big trouble..the thing is..it seems like Ixus 130 can take better pictures then A3100 IS but A3100 IS is easier to use and the pictures are not very good..just good enough.What am i going to do? please reply ! @radtwelve a viewfinder is a kind of a lens you can look through when taking photos. Great when there's a lot of sun or other brightness as he said.

can you use a memory card higher than 4gb with the Canon IXUS 130, and if so can you record longer then, or is it gay and limited to 4gb?

@pjandmoni It does support larger memory cards but the video recording is still limited to 4GB per file so you will only be able to record up to 10 minutes in full resolution.

i have canon powershot sx200 but i dont like it, the picture is so sharp.. & too dark. i want to buy a new one.. i like canon ixus 130.. do u think ixus 130 is worth to buy? because im very disapointed with my sx200.

you told us something wrong. the Ixus 210 dosn't have a wide angel! but it has a wide angel effect. like a fish eye. that means that it's simulates the look of a wide angel picture. and you can't put more than on a regular picture on your photo.

@superwookie The Ixus 210 has both a wide-angle lense (24mm) and the fish-eye effect you are talking about. 24mm is current;y one of the widest lenses you can get on a compact camera with most offering 28mm at the widest setting.

@radtwelve Yes, essentially on compact and bridge cameras it is a window that frames the shot the camera will take. On DSLRs however you see through the lense itself rather than through a window.

Thanks for your quick reply. I haven't found any other 24mm HD compacts - only 25mm. Do any other brands do them? I was about to buy either the Lumix TZ8 or 10 but prefer a 24mm and a touch screen. Thanks!

The only touchscreen options with a 24mm wide angle are presently the Ixus 200 and Ixus 210. If you can live without touchscreen, other 24mm models include the Samsung WB1000, Samsung WB500, Casio Exilim EX-H10, Sony DSC-WX1 and the older Panasonic Lumix LX3. We have full reviews and test ratings, of the Canon Ixus 110, Ixus 200 IS, and Panasonic TZ7 on our website. Until we've put the new Ixus 210 through our test labs we can't say if it's superior, but keep in mind the TZ7 lacks the large touchscreen of either the Ixus 200 or Ixus 210

The Ixus 110 is an older model in Canon's line up, but you can still track it down. It lacks the touchscreen functionality of the Ixus 210 IS, and has a lower resolution of 12Mp. However, it performed well in our tests - we have a full review on our website. See the link in the description.
