@TheSoniiq Solid SNke is still the code name of the main character in all the metal gear titles except mgs3, portable ops, and peace walker.... in those you play as Big Boss.

@BillyCauseyjr Nope, in this game it's "Snake". A clone of Solid Snake. Since the story is not canon, the original Snake died (it's a bit ironic calling "original" to someone who is a clone already)

They're not crap, they're well-written excellently made masterpieces, just like all the others. The games are simply not your thing is all :P.

Whether you like it or not, that's how things run, and that's how they're going to stay. Don't like it? Deal with it, that's the harsh reality.

@KazuoKiriyama666 I actually thought IV was ok, it felt too disjointed and I think having Solid Snake grow old like that was lame but as far as gameplay goes it was the best..... even if I would have preferred the mgs3 style camo over octocamo. the story however felt like they were just tying up loose ends as sloppily as poissible so Kojima can move on. I think the guy who directed the acid sereis would make a good director for cannon because the story in those are better than you'd think.

Liquid not actually being in control of Ocelot at all, Johnny Sasaki's last name being different, EVA running into the fire even though it isn't Big Boss, Big Boss actually being sane, Para-Medic being Dr. Clark and her being a psycho bitch who conducted the experiments on Grey Fox sorry just don't buy that, The Sorrow and Psycho Mantis being around even though they're both dead for years by now, Naomi killing herself, Vamp being that easy to kill and having no motives of his own at all in MGS4.

Solidus was not still alive, his body was just used to fool the Patriots and then be used to reconstruct Big Boss's body.

Kojima had Raiden's part planned out from the beginning, it was not to please the haters.

Play MGS4 again, Solidus's body is still moving. Also, pretty sure that Raiden wasn't intended of being a ninja cyborg at all.

I don't believe you about Solidus's body, I didn't see it moving at all, but even if that is how it happened, that in no way means he was still alive. Bodies are known to occasionally twitch after death.

As for Raiden, yeah, you're right. Hideo wanted it to end with MGS2, but it didn't. Too many unanswered questions, even after 3 was made. when Raiden resurfaced in 4, Hideo decided to make him the new Cyborg Ninja, simple as that.

Just remember people, The AC!D series is Non-Canon to the Solid Series. Meaning they didn't happen in the Solid Story, at all, ditto with Ghost Babel.

WHo cares about that anymore when MGS4 and Portable Ops retcons everything from the previous games? I mean, really, why does it matter anymore? Besides, Ghost Babel and the AC!D series are both far better stories than MGS4 and Portable Ops.

I have to disagree with you there, that's a matter of opinion. To me, AC!D and AC!D 2 were great stories, but aren't as good as either PO or 4.

Also, No, they don't retcon everything from the previous games, where the heck did you get that idea from? I've played them all so far, and they all fit into place perfectly.

Big Boss back from the dead, Gray Fox's backstory being changed completely, Sokolov being alive, Madnar being alive, Sigint being the DARPA Chief, Volgin working for The Philosophers, the MGS3 radio team being The Patriots founders, Gene being the person to give Big Boss the idea for Outer Heaven, The Philosophers being eliminated one by one by Ocelot [when originally, The Philosophers were supposed to be the predecessors to The Patriots], Meryl marrying the comic relief character.

they really fucked up with the acid series? if you didnt play it dont judge it. if u did, ur whack. it had a good story. it still feels like metal gear. but only thing diffrent is that its a card game(lets think about yugi-oh). nothing wrong with having this on the psp. its a really fun game once it grows on you.

I don't see how this interfered with the Metal Gear series at all. This was a great game on psp, with a cool artistic feel and an interesting story.
