There are 12 bells here. The heaviest bell weighs 3 tons. they are in the tower with no clock

I agree, they are not nice at all. They sound industrial and not mellow at all like York are.

I agree with you on terms of them sounding industrial. They don't sound like your average Taylor peal, but they are quite early I believe?

I will hold proper judgement until I hear them for real in a few weeks, but they sund OK to me. i have read that their sound matches the environment - a harsh, strident noise to be heard over the noise of the city
