@MusicalPsychoful It's supposed to be like that. Probably because the unknown is much scarier than the known, but also to explain why it is powerless outside of the water.

On an unrelated note, I've never seen anyone actually use the boxes to navigate past the second water monster. Must've made the cranking part so much easier. +1 to TB for that.

@accav96 It's a whole different experience when you're actually playing the game. There are creaks and sounds, moans and ghostly footsteps. You can hear when your character breaths heavily as he panics, bugs crawl across your screen as you slowly lose your sanity while expecting a monster to be around every turn with no way to defend yourself should that happen. All you can do is hide in the darkness as you lose your mind.

@accav96 you have no idea how horrifying this game is. Sitting there, no lights, and with a loud soundlevel, you will not be able to play this game for more than 20 minutes. Its the whole perspective of you sitting there, defenceless in the darkness, and you have NO idea whats coming around the next corner. I am actually having goosebumps just talking about it. On the other side, my friend played it, and it wasnt that scary. Its a whole other story when you play it yourself...BRILLIANT GAME!

Much more enjoyable to watch than Jesse Cox despite not getting as far as one would prefer. However, I completely understand, this game is THE most horrifying game ever to be made.

Jesse Cox, as rageblade233 said, had cheerleaders. That's an asshole thing to do, because it makes him look good on his videos because of the females being present, and it encourages him to continue. They're basically chaperoning him.

TotalBiscuit did this completely alone, and did well to get as far as he did.

Also, because he's doing this live, he tends to miss things since he's not really focusing on the game so much as keeping things entertaining with his commentary and attempt to keep the action flowing and things happening.

I get that he's scared...but keeping your lantern on almost the entire time probably made things way, way worse for him in the water area. That monster tends to wander off if you stand in the dark for a bit.
