The Bible does not teach eternal punishment. God's love and mercy endures forever. Does it really endure forever or only in this life? How can it be Good News if it doesn't translate to the afterlife? God will still judge but He will not punish forever.
1 Timothy 4:10- This is why we work hard and continue to struggle, for our hope is in the living God, who is the Savior of all people and particularly of all believers.

"It is Biblical" is a deceptively simple phrase. There are so many traditions, translations, interpretations, and changing understandings of science and morality, between a modern New International Version of the Bible and the original 2500 year old texts. Anything one asserts is "Biblical" can be challenged. You will not find any passage in The Bible that says "Believe that Jesus died for your sins or your soul will burn for eternity in Hell." Nowhere. That's dogma.

searching for the truth means a lot of things. Using scriptures to do so is however not a good idea in my opinion.
