I might be flying in Japan while on layover. Is there a good source for online manuals besides J-AOPA? (I'll be acting as safety observer with a licensed Japanese friend who is new to flying inside the country)
Im 13 and do my flight training in durham england. I live here in Japan and would love to try that, do they accept english student pilot certificates?
@TheJapanChannelDcom Say someone lives in tokyo. If they want to go somewhere else far from tokyo do they use a plane. Like say tokyo to osaka if that's far idk.
I simply MUST fly when I come to Nippon. Maybe I could arrange to ferry a plane there, my buddy does that sort of thing but I only have about 600 hours...maybe not...lol. I have to crop dust a few years to build hours for insurance purposes first...that is if I don't wad one up in the process.
This was amazing. The music fit perfectly to the feeling flying in the peacefulness of the skies. I mean this was just incredible, I could realy get to the feeling. I hope I get to fly someday an airplane over Japan. Thank you very much for this film, it was your best!
On my YouTube home page as a new unwatched video. I thought maybe you filmed a recent flight & was interested in watching it. Part way through I noticed the number of views & then the date. Watched this already & enjoyed it. Did you re-post or is YouTube screwing more things up besides the new home page? Any way, thanks again for the insight to Japan & all things Japanese. Always enjoy these & your other channel's videos.
@Hatterific Cessna 152's apparently have about a 500 mile range with no extra fuel tanks. It's 2000 miles to Hawaii from California. Maybe if you went up around Alaska to the Aleutian islands, then skipped over to Hokkaido that way?
I have a question. In anime movie Skycrawlers, the fighter pilots switched to english when they were flying. Even when just talking to other in squadorn. At first I thought I had my language setting wrong. Then I was curious and wondered why they did that. Do japanese pilots communicate in english when talking over the radio and to the tower?
I can understand international flight pilots needing to know english, but just wondering if it was a standard.
Loved the video, used to fly Cessnas 152 long time ago, I used to skydive too, what about skydiving in Japan ? ever thought trying it ?

@teemuruskeepaa Mmm... Well, maybe I would give you the reason if the title were "NipponChanneruDcom". But it's in English, this is a channel about Japan for foreigners, and I think the best way to show us Japan stuff (in a way we can understand) is from a foreigner guy.
Thanks for making yet another great video, I loved the music in this and the view must have been breathtaking! I'm looking forward to more videos of Japan. :)
What a great video. There's not a better way to view the world than from up high. Even if you never make another video like this one I wanted to say I very much appreciate the time and effort put into this one. I'm really glad I subscribed to your channel and look forward to future updates.
Awesome video, however there is something better then flying airplanes....jumping out of them! Have you checked out the Tokyo skydiving club at Honda airport in Saitama prefecture? I am a skydiver who is moving to Japan in May and this is one of the first places I am going to check out. I hear they have breathtaking views of mount Fuji.
Very cool :). I work for Boeing and I love planes. Gosh they're expensive though! What rating does the commercial pilot license get you in Australia? What kind of planes have you flown? :) Hope you don't mind me asking.
@TheJapanChannelDcom ^_^ ... very awesome. One of my old bosses for a small company I used to work for had an aerobatic endorsement as well. I got to see him fly in Oshkosh, simply amazing. Luckily my employer will partially pay for a pilot's license, so I may just get one.
If you are ever in the States, near Seattle, I will gladly invite you to see the Boeing tour and also see if I can get you to our assembly line or our simulators which have full-up cockpits.
Adding in your friend's music was a nice touch. Its like the videos you've put out has gone full circle.
I know some japanese, but all i could understand was o'negaishimasu. He was kinda quiet, but that leads me to an interesting question. Is the general volume in Japan quieter? or maybe i should say : Is the average conversation in Japan the unlike the normal loud obnoxious American like myself?

Kickass looking city, music was sort of sad though lol, almost like flying over a place after war has hit, but keep on rocking in Japan man! your videos rock
it actually makes me a lil upset that you are disapointed. You seem so excited in the video too- which i must add was beautiful- i dont knw why youd purposely just spend money for a youtube video- but theres still time yet for some more veiws
Your subcribers should be helping!!! gotta be sharing videos thats cool with friends. if we're wantin to battle the silly skits then we gotta, share & rate the quality videos!!
this is really well done. i know many people have waited many years to get more subscribers. many of them are only for entertaining and you basicly make fact-stuff => cannot compare their vids to yours. like you said in your other account: don't carry rocks in your bag. (well it was about something else but it's similar) these vids make me wise up. i actually skipped important stuff just to watch your vids (around 280 now?) took like ½ a week. 8)
@TheJapanChannelDcom I can understand you might be a little disapointed, but you clearly enjoyed yourself making the video so it wasn't a total waste. I for one love your videos. You maybe don't have as many subscribers as Tokyocooney (to give an example) but I have learned more from the two weeks I have been watching you. I get to see the little things. We see mundane things like post offices in an interesting way.
When I eventually get to Japan, I promise I will buy you a beer.
Yea it is true, but you have captured an amount of people, may it not be millions, but theres still alot, who really appreicate your videos, i wouldnt want u goin to so much expense, but i lve ur videos, i lve your insight!!!
Well, I did not mean a documentary for youtube, but for TV. Make it, and sell it, or maybe you could get BBC or some documentary-channel/travel-channel to sponsor you? I would definitely watch it.
Haha, reminds me when I went up in a plane just like that but the tires had covers over it. If I'm correct, its a Cessna 172 (the one I was in) and I guess thats a SP.
I might be flying in Japan while on layover. Is there a good source for online manuals besides J-AOPA? (I'll be acting as safety observer with a licensed Japanese friend who is new to flying inside the country)

Hopefully some more people can stop clicking those obvious ad videos with boobs and click this one.

@mattearnie
Thank you.
But I was just thinking I wont spend time and money on a video like this again.
600 views.. it just isn't worth it.
If there was more viewers like you or if Youtube promoted quality I would have a chance.. but youtube isn't interested in quality...
TheJapanChannelDcom 2 years ago
it actually makes me a lil upset that you are disapointed.

Look at the front page of youtube..
same old crap day after day..
I guess people who make quality videos just give up after a while...

stop saying that or i'll unsubscribe! : D
this is really well done. i know many people have waited many years to get more subscribers. many of them are only for entertaining and you basicly make fact-stuff => cannot compare their vids to yours. like you said in your other account: don't carry rocks in your bag.

Wow.. you have more balls than i do.. No headsets in a c172? i wouldn't last 15 minutes.
Thanks a million for making this vid, as an avid pilot myself, ive been aching to see what flying in japan would look like.

For a person that has never flown, I really appreciated this video and found it to be absolutely superb.

great!
ever considered to buy/loan some high def. cams, and spend ½-1 year making some real documentary-programs about japan?

Thanks for your support, but it is not worth it.
I spent a fortune making this one and it will only get a few hundred views.
Youtube is all about breasts and skateboard nutshots.
TheJapanChannelDcom 2 years ago
Well, I did not mean a documentary for youtube, but for TV. Make it, and sell it, or maybe you could get BBC or some documentary-channel/travel-channel to sponsor you? I would definitely watch it.

Maybe if I can show some potential by a little success on Youtube I might have a chance at that!!
I shall keep trying!

Haha, reminds me when I went up in a plane just like that but the tires had covers over it. If I'm correct, its a Cessna 172 (the one I was in) and I guess thats a SP.
Nice job 5/5
