Dumbasses...Cubs =most loyal fans and you can't dispute that....now between Cubs and Cardinals (the Cubs have won more games between the two) Team success however has to go to the Cardinals...so everyone shut the fuck up and watch the video!
He did go to San Diego but played poorly and so was released at which point the Cubs picked him up for the remainder of the season. He probably played twenty or thirty games for the Padres and eighty some odd games for the Cubs last year.
man jimmy was my idol 4 so many years i actually almost met him but he walked away as i was chasing him and just disappeared but two of my favorite jimmy edmonds moments was when he hit that homer in the nlcs in game 6 in 04 and also that amazing catch up the hill in minute maid park
Jimmy was and still is my Idol for when I played OF. His amazing catches were just jaw dropping. His clutch HR in the 2004 post season. When he hit that slump in this last season as a Redbird it was painful to watch.
if jimmy doesnt like the cardinals then why was he at the game tuesday with is wife and kid. Did I mention he had his kid deacked out in cardinals stuff. So I do not buy into what your saying one bit
And that's not to take away from what he did as an Angel. Never had anything but the utmost respect for what Edmonds did for baseball. And you can tell there's no steroids there. That body's built on alot of steak and hard work.
YOU are a retard. Did his DUI come during the game retard??? NO. Ill take world series titles anyday. Your fanchise ruined a guys live (Steve Bartman) and our coach had to many drinks one night what is worse? He had death threats by Retard CUB fans that is a little worse. But if thats better than winning a world series thats your deal. It wasnt mutiple DUIs retard so get your facts straight before you make your self look retarded on the internet.
He was the leader of the cardinals, thats why tony never liked him much, because he had more of an influence than tony, albert or dave, if there was a walkoff homer he was the first out of the dugout to jump the player to hit the home, he showed shumacher, ludwig, ankiel, and many others there way around a truly great man and a great player, hopefully future H.O.F
you can be an asshole and still be successful. i wouldn't want him as the cubs' manager even if he was the only one who could win them the world series.
you would not want a guy if he was going to win the world series?? thats the most retarded thing Ive heard in my life. The world series is what its all about. But you would not know that your a cubs fan lol choke city usa
Don't think he'll get a ring ever as long as he's with the Cubs. Looking at Wrigley though it is a perfect field for Jimmy to play on as his skills diminish. I love to see Jimmy do well and the Cubs still lose. GO JIMMY!! FUCK THE CUBS!!!
ya thank you jim edmonds your the man for helping us win some ball games so far how bout having a 300 avg and 7 hrs and 22rbi for the cubs in 26 games thata boy jimmy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! youll get ur another ring this year
ROFL a real team? The CUBS?? The team who hasn't won a world series in over 100 years? He'll never see another WS victory so long as he stays with the cubs.
Actually in Baseball Prostpect handbook they rank the Cardinals 11th. Our farm system has improved. Colby Rasmus Chris Perez Joe Mather Bryan Anderson.
Hey Guys, i know amazindan is annoying and all, but he has been leaving cardinal bashing comments for months, myself and him replied to a series of each others comments arguing over whether or not jim edmonds was a good player, amazindan seems to think he was lousy. just listen to what i have to say. amazindan can say all he wants, the cardinals will NOT lose 100 games, i doubt that they will approach 90 loses.
one thing about baseball is that you have to play the games, you can guess by whats on paper, but you never really know until its all said and done. the cards dont look great on paper, but when i watch them play i LOVE what i see, they are younger and have energy and chemistry, you have to watch a team everyday to know what u are talking about, that is where ol' dan falls short, he is obviously not a STL fan so he can only go by what the NEW YORK media tells him, i feel sorry for him
You guys think the 07 Cards team was bad, wait to you see this Embarrassing 08 Cards team! You will be wishing for the 07 team! This 08 Cardinal team is a joke! They are AN EASY 95 LOSS TEAM WITH 100 LOSSES NOT OUT OF THE QUESTION! Your starting pitching is a Horror show! Adam Wainwright is an ok starter, but after that it is Laughable! Now for your line up, it gets even worse! Its Pujols, that a bunch of no name SCABS! LOL! Its going to be a good battle between Pirates & Cards for Last Place!
I disagree, their offense is going to be better, and alot more potential. Those rookies in the outfield will be looking up to an all star veteran Juan Gonzalez. With Rick Ankiel and CHris Duncan, Troy Gloss, or however you spell it along with Albert and Eckstein and a decent backup catcher. I wish we could get a good 2nd basemen though.. oh well.
this team had a player die mid season, a player blinded, a player have a drug problem, we lost our ace on the first game...
there is no way this team is worse than that team. Not saying we will be good by any means but nowhere near as bad as you think and probably better than last year
wow ur really gay let me guess u like the yankees like all the other losers and u guys just ignore that half the team is on steriods. even if u dont like the yankees u still have no clue about baseball, y would u take the time to comment on a video about a team u dont like, get a life
correct me if im wrong, but i'm pretty sure almost every player is a no name when they first break into the big leagues. had anyone ever heard of albert pujols when he showed up in 2001, no, he only made the team because bobby bonilla was injured. guess what the "no name scab" had the, unarguably, greatest rookie season statistically of all time. heck even David Ortiz was considered a relatively medicore "no name" when boston signed him, look how that turned out
Guy its a week and a half into the season!!! This embarrassing Cardinal team is an easy 90+ loss team. Come talk to me in July when your burried in last or next to last with those mighty Pirates.
The single best defensive center fielder ever -- mays, mantle white, hunter = please..no one had the range, the arm , and the athleticism of jimmy ballgame...That to go along with his love and passion for the game and incredible offensive production ...love you jimmy
I played CF and it was (and is) my favorite position on the field. As a lifelong Cards fan I feel that Jim Edmonds was one of the best ever to play CF. .but not the best. His flair for the dramatic catch. .unparelled. But watching Andruw Jones day repeatedly run down balls Jimmy wouldn't get to is hard to challenge. And I hate the freakin' Braves. I wish Jimmy well with the Padres as he finishs a great career. When he's healthy, he's a treat to watch in the outfield.
ANdruw Jones is a great centerfielder and whatever we just have different opinions. However, there is a reason edmonds was repeatedly chosen over jones for the gold glove when he moved to the nl. In other words its not just my opinion that he was better but those intricately involved and closer to the game than you and I ever will be.
How can you tell how close anyone is to the game just by a post on YouTube? Wow, you must be able to read between lines that do not exist. BTW, Jones has 10 Golden Gloves. Edmonds has 8. Yeah... that is so many more than Jones. Oh so many!
It should be noted that Jones and Edmonds shared the award from 2000-2005. Those who voted on this are predominantly writers with "credentials" achieved by covering the game daily. Not necessarily more "intricately" involved. I spent 44 years inside the game as a player and coach and that's pretty damn close to the game. As stated Edmonds is my personal favorite but he never broke in on a ball better than Andruw Jones. Living in Atlanta, I saw way too many of his circus catches.
You obviously know nothing about baseball do you? I bet you never even played.. theres a lot more to baseball than hitting first of all and he was an excellent hitter he had a bad lst couple of years due to injuries such as torn ligaments and concussions from diving into walls not broken nails...and the 2 years before that he had 38 and 37 homers... so shut your mouth and stop criticizing a true professional and great guy
ok so after looking at your profile i was wrong about playing baseball... to me it just looks like your sore because Jim is in the majors and your not... you probably were in the Cardinals farm system and never got the call so your mad about that... for all we know u made up that minors thing anyway... what did u say ur last name was?
Except for Raja (Hornsby), Jimmy Ballgame is and will always be my favorite Cardinal.

lol amazindan sounds like a cubs fan. Always jealous. Edmonds may have been injuried in his last few years cuz he was getting old and it's not his offenseive numbers that hes known for. Maybe six gold gloves? Edmonds will always be a cardinal to me and I hope he kicks some ass in San Diego.
amazindan again, you left the exact same comment on my jim edmonds video. you're not even creative enough to change the words, i think you're over rated, whats so amazin 'bout you
Thanks Jimmy. You've always been my favorite Cardinal to watch, even more than Albert. I always hoped you'd retire a Cardinal, but I guess it wasn't meant to be. Best of luck in San Diego!
