Science is one of the best albums of the 90's. then the record label says "tone it down, cut ur dreads", dj life left the band and then they went to shit. Oh dude science is the bees knees. You get the great vocals with the intense music. With their newer albums you get the pretty vocals, and pretty music, but I think it lacks a lot of the intensity in this album.

I'm always disappointed when a band changes their style up. You shouldn't have to change your music to suit the times.. thats kind of a sellout attitude. Music shouldn't be subject to popularity (although yes, I know it is).

Maybe they changed their sound because they merely felt like it? To expand on their initial sound. They're musicians. What they produce is their prerogative. Be it them 'selling' out or not.

I don't care why they changed it. Also I never said it wasn't 10000000% their call do make whatever kind of music they want. If I don't like it though (which is my prerogative) I don't like it. Well, and the vocals are still amazing, but it just has such a different feel than science. It's not goofy and quirky and in your face, its more mellow and I don't know I just like the energy in science the best of all their albums I've heard.

SCIENCE album is the best, u cant deny that it was just epic and each sound was PURE ENERGY, they lost that a little bit after morning view and became a little to mainsteam. I still dig (pun intended) incubus but i still prefer their older stuff more :)

Amazing song, amazing album, amazing band. Possibly one of the most diverse bands to ever exist. From Segue 1, to Medicine Man, to Aqueous Transmissions, to Vitamin, to Pardon Me...its amazing what this band has done.

I don't think that they ever abandoned anyone as fans, they just moved on to other styles. Yes, the style was a little more mainstream, but it was still as precise and distinctly Incubus as ever.

yeah this album was incredible i started to get into incubus a lot more then the make yourself album came out, that one was awesome too, then light grenades i guess, light grenades is pretty good but it isnt the same kind of music as the older ones. it really does show how they have evolved.
