  • When I hear ex-military-intelligence officers on CNN and on Coast to Coast AM talk about how an intelligence alien race is shutting down nuclear weapons sites in this country my ears perk up. Then seeing the eye-witness whistle blower give testimonies here on youtube about buildings and based on the moon and all are willing to testify before congress - I believe the unbelieveable.

  • well i think it's good to be curious about and question what the government does because your government is obviously very shady with the secretive CIA and HAARP being a military run supposed 'research facility', Europe and America's most powerful people meeting in secret, and what not.

it's good to be open minded and consider these conspiracy theories that are out there, some of them have even been out in mainstream news. but i don't go so far as to believe the whole alien, satanic thing.

  • Good question. I think the the litmus test test comes, at least in part, from a pre-determined perception that we already have. And whether the new information we are recieving resonates or harmonizes with what we already perceive.

  • I look at the viability based on logic, for instance the whole HAARP thing.I do not see any reason for this device as the US govt through proxy control many countries.Therefor its non consequential to research said device. In the case of 9/11 we can easily see who directly and indirectly benefits, they are ones with motive.

  • Test the PH of an idea? I would imagine that you test it by looking at all possible outcomes, then look at the history of those suggesting the ideas and their slant on thought and then look to see if the idea is consistent. If it's not, then you're either missing information or the angle so it's time to rethink.

  • lol they screwed up when they reported the second world trade tower falling too early... That gave away the whole thing. Criminal masterminds tend to always screw up brilliant schemes with the dumbest screw-ups imaginable.

  • Like suicide bombers who survived. Or when the building that wasn't on fire, and wasn't hit fell. Or when the passport didn't even get a lil singed. Or when they let the relatives flee the country. Or when they picked a guy who was on the CIA payroll to be the ringleader. Or when the Tower's wreckage was still on fire for weeks (yes I am a NYC resident) Or when the Insurance company denied the claims of NYPD FDNY and volunteer workers. Or when Bush went to Iraq instead of after Bin Laden or...

  • how can you test the pH of an idea?

i think that we need a new world order!!!

so we can become an active part in our galactic council and put our two cents in concerning matters that effect us outside of our planet

  • Great question! One litmus test I use is: How would I tell this story?

If I see someone who consistently omits sources that I would include, or makes logical leaps I would not make, or tries to be sensational when I would not, then I tend to discredit what they say.

  • New World Order ain't verifialbe?

Type "New World Order" into google news. Or better yet YouTube "New World Order speech" and listen to everybody from Henry Kissinger to Gordron Brown talk about their plan they fondly call the NWO.

  • I think about the interests of the various sources I get information from. News media are businesses that want exciting, sensational stories to catch the public's attention. I don't buy the 9/11 conspiracy theories or the chem-trails because I can't see why the news media would miss such a wonderful business opportunity if they had any validity. No corporation can control all major news outlets all the time, so if nobody is reporting on a certain issue it's probably bunk.

  • the more asleep you are the easier it is to sneak thief. so its time to wake up. we arent lab rats and we need to reclaim the ideas of our founders and take back our country. fuck the media, fuck osama bin had nothin to do with 911, fuck the peolple in our govt whos only agenda is to line the pockets of elitests. matter fact fuck you elitests. you do not own us and you are no closer to god than we are. worshipers of self and power. you will fall. by truth or by sword, you will be defeated.

  • but more importantly is not to deny your truth rather embrace it. if somrthing about the information you are hearing doesnt feel right or sit right then challenge it and the more you begin to trust your inner truth detector the sharper it becomes.

it doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out that corporarate sponsored america is not a free country we are the property of our owners. the govt only needs you to sleep and work. you are just an employee of this corp.

  • theses days its hard to believe anything that anybody says bro. we all have a sixth sence. its like the others but not as sharpened in most. its that feeling you get when you are about to do something that you know is not gnna be a good idea. problem is that this sixth sence is muffled by the things we alow to enter our minds and the things we do in action that are contrary to the heedance of the sence. rendering it almost useless unless we begin to listen to it. we can all descern truth n lies.

  • watch Conspiracy of Silence

  • I believe buildings should never fall at freefall speed!

I CAN'T believe the American people didnt impeach Bush and Cheney!

I believe that whatever the Administration says is being done to the USA, the truth is, it is what the USA is doing to other countries!

I believe the Bush administration was a willing partner in crimes of 9/11!

I believe that gays should be able to get married!

    I believe in science!

I belive the bible is just a book, thats it!

    Have a great day! :)

  • Fags burn in Hell fire.

The Bible is the living truth of God.

READ IT BEFORE YOU DOUBT IT.

  • havoctrend

Did it take all day for you to come up with that very well thought out rebuttal?

So I guess this guy named Noah found 2 of every single animal and insect that live on the earth today?

Even the insects that live a day or two and then die?

How did he get them to mate to ensure that there would be a male and a female when he hit dry land, maybe little tiny table with candles and a bottle of wine!

  • Have read it, and found it full of holes that you could drive a semi through.

Some of it's true no doubt, some of it's allegorical to be sure. Some of it is biased by the people who wrote it.

If the bible is so infallible then why were there books left out? The thing you know of as the bible was decided on by the catholic church who use it as a political tool.

The most common sense view of it would be that if you believe in a god, God is infallible, but the bible was written by men who aren't.

  • I believe the New World Order because i can find the evidence that points to that !! but i do not believe anything until i see PROOF with my own eyes and that i can confirm for myself that it is the truth

  • My litmus test is triangulation.

Take all data you can find on a particular topic including videos, but also information from sources of expertise help at times when things are hard to verify through normal channels such as site and sound.

An example would anything which needs to be proven through math or science. This is hard to verify however because everything can be denied...even the laws of science.

What you really need is obvious...look at the actions of people not the words.

  • I try not to put anything into one category or the other, I just gather information about the subject in question. I do tend to put some (chemtrails included) into the "I'm not going to focus much time on checking that out" pile... but that isn't to say I consider them false.

  • From having worked for the government, I can tell you that amount of organization and foresight it would take to organize a large scale conspiracy is, in my experience, not available. The government works in spite of itself, becuase of the many good people who make a living serving their country. (Both in the civilian and military worlds.) People generally take the path of least resistance (as with everything in nature,) so anything requiring the single minded effort of a conspiracy prob. false.

  • mtlsoul

It is funny how you say that the government doesnt have the foresight to run a full scale conpiracy such as 9/11 because the people that work for the government tend to take the path of least resistance like everything else in nature!

And on 9/11 WTC 1,2 and 7 collapsed and followed the path of most resistance, and we both know that that never should have happened!

  • "These claim this, and those claim that."

Any honest pyrrohnean skeptic would agree with this statement. It's those who become too passionate, and join a particular group (whether mainstream or not) that eventually lead to "this is true" and "that is not true".

Anything can sound factual beneath a facade of numbers and names. It's best to be a "Doubting Thomas". Don't believe ANYTHING to be the truth until you've used all of your senses to verify.

  • My litmus test is: Prove it! Never believe anything just because someone tells you, no matter how much you may agree with them most of the time or how much you want to believe what they say. It's ok to take it on faith at the time, but you gotta check it out for yourself! One thing that I do is when I hear something that seems somewhat based on opinion or interpretation, I immediately go to sources that support an antithetical view and see what proof they have to back up what they believe.

  • I find articles in mainstream media on both sides and basically follow the bread crumbs. It's usually the secondary stories that provoke my skepticism. Outright conspiracy publications or ultra left wing material might be just as misleading with severe bias. They're often too black and white and spew anger, whereas reading into certain mainstream stories reveal a world of crap. Like Often what's right in front of our eyes is true. Instincts. Bread crumbs. Comment section too limiting to explain.

  • My litmus test is "logical fallacies." The more that logical fallacies that are used to support a claim the less likely it is to be true.

And when appropriate the idea that "extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence."

If N.W.O. is an extraordinary claim but can't be verified (doesn't have extraordinary evidence) it isn't worth believing in.

  • One quick way to test a notion is to reverse it and see if it makes sense.

    Does it make sense?

Try it on everything told to you by broadcast commericals for practice.

    "You have Herpes..."

    Do you have Herpes? No.

    Call that commerical a 'Liar".

Continue this until you keep finding truth. Soon, you will have no problem identifying who the liars are. Your brain will pick up things naturally, seeing body language..etc

I knew Clinton was lying about Lewinsky right after he said it.

  • Good Video! :)

    Five stars for freedom.

  • zzzzzzzzzzzz. i fell asleep 5 seconds into this video, tried to watch it again and fell asleep in 3 seconds...

  • A conspiracy wouldn't be a conspiracy if it had evidence to back it up. Although I believe it is always good for people to keep their eye out for things such as corporate funded media etc. many get carried away and begin to see what they want to see. I believe that places like HAARP have some dodgy activity going on but everything past that is pure speculation. Of course the same goes with skeptics, when a witness is held accountable in court and not for seeing a UFO -- but eh, watchya gonna do?

  • Know your enemy. Bilderberg, the so-called 'New World Order' - these things are paranoid delusions. Look for independent verification, and trust media sources that have no vested interest in what they report. That's why I look to foreign media to learn about events in the USA - no American buying public to advertise at.

  • By the way, what's your litmus test, ProteanView?

  • LovesAllOfYou

Right back at me, huh? Like you, I go on instinct... cross referencing, considering the source & who backs it, track record, motive and, I suppose, my personal assumptions/biases factor in when I'm not looking.

  • I use my rational judgment and consider the source's consistency. For example, I believe in the NWO for one consistent reason. Fractional reserve central banking can only end up with one result and that's a culture where few rule many. I say that because it is a fact BUT what really makes me know the NWO exists is that I'm sure that many of our politicians know that fractional reserve central banking creates fascism. My rational judgment leads me to believe it's what they want.

  • Exactly. Education,Health Care,Social Security, Poverty? There are TOO many degrees (PHDs, MDs, BAs etc...) working on the problem for it to get *consistently worse* EVERY year. 1 Trillion for wall street firms. Several Billion to kill Americans and Iraqies but no money for health care?

    Bull Shit.

Shit dosnt happen. It gets done. To less organized groups of people by more organized groups of people.

  • 'no money for health-care'?

america already spends more tax-money on health-care then most industrialised nations, and adding to that the private costs, you end up with more then twice the cost of any 'competing' nation.

i know that doesn't make any sense, but it's true. go figure.

  • This may have been, in part, a response to something I asked you, though I could be wrong.

Anyway, for myself... I'm gonna go with the "me too" cop out, heh. Instinct plays a large role, but I tend to continue to look anyway, to learn more about the providers of information even if instinct, cross-reference, etc. proves their statements less than accurate. What their motives are and why. I do find that usually there is a kernel of accurate info though, that the rest is based on.

  • Generally speaking, I'm not much of a news person. I find that it's often based in agendas, opinions, and spin; for that reason, it's often unreliable. There's very little that can be proven and I think that deciding what you believe (or don't) in the news stems from what you believe about people and life as a whole. This is why people can't get on the same page no matter WHAT evidence is put in front of them. Beyond that, I'm with the person who said "instinct".

  • I'll consider any point and then immediately go online and try to find a counter point. I usually look to see how educated the source is on the specific topic. That's not to say you need a PhD on a topic to be the only truth but it helps. Lastly, I check to see if Proteanview has any opinion on the subject :) Ok, that was a joke.

  • Source - Is the critic and insider or outsider? Experienced in the field discussed?

Gain - Who profits, Who looses? In what amount?

Efficiency - Can it be done easier/cheaper?

Chance - How likely is it to work? What is the chance of backlash?

Presedan - Have similar thing s happen before? Is there a trend?

Alternatives - Are there other answers to the issue? which are more likely?

Emergence - Can it come about accidentally by acts of independent agents? Is orchestration necessary?

  • Google: Sam's Club 6625+Walton Family

  • Yeah big businesses are anti union? Of course they are. People with money will pay dirty cops to harass union-wannabees? Your boss will look for any excuse to fire you if you bother him?

This is common sense. It should be common knowledge. If a business has more that 100 employees and top dog never sees the place where money is produced, all of the above is true INSTANTLY, BY DEFAULT. In Europe this is OBVIOUS. How do you not see that?

  • I would gather information on the subject from as many sources as I can and then, at least, I'll have something of an educated opinion.

However it seems to be easier to believe (or incorporate) information that has no secondary gain by altering or withholding of said information.

All assumption that anything is true, without proof or evidence, including religion, can be dangerous.

But what do I know, I'm just a dumb kid.

  • Here's how i'd describe my view.

Some time ago, a software was developed, that can generate a high-resolution image from a series of low resolution images (so they had 60 pictures of the Moon at 48x48 resolution. Run through the software, it gave them a single 480x480 image). This is the approach that should be used for news. Read from as many different sources as possible (from different cultures), and you will surely get a clearer picture.

    if you're interested, reference:

    watch?v=mo58SkJZFbY

  • i never go off a single source. There should be any number of sources, from different approaches if possible, but sources from both sides of the argument must be considered. There is also a question of credibility, and unintentional error. We can consider motive means, and opportunity, also eliminating what is impossible. We need to teach ourselves to learn, and make our own value judgments, be prepared to be wrong and refuse to accept the: Because an authority or institution said so. trap

  • personally, i don't perceive and remember in terms of 'this is true' and 'that is not true'.

i perceive and remember in terms of "these claim this, and those claim that".

  • Education and logic both play roles in whether or not I believe all, part or none of a story. I also like to construct my idea of what is actually going on from multiple sources.

Most importantly, I take full responsibility for what I believe. If I am wrong or misled, it is my own fault for not caring to dig deep enough.

Most Americans are comfortable in trusting the MSM and typically don't care enough about a topic to research multiple sources - a symptom of self-centered laziness.

  • Word!

  • 1-Anything that mentions Alqaeda.

Alqaeda = Fictitious construct, only existing on the hard drives of certain "intelligence" groups in Israel. the US and Britain.

2-Ridicule eg; making subtle connections between questioning 911 official story, and x-files type stories.

3-Anything emanating from CNN or the BBC.

  • I completely understand how this 9/11 truth movement has gotten it's legs. It's because our government has deceived the people by fear mongering. When you have a news outlet that is the mouthpiece for the WH, and it completely distorts facts on a daily basis, while forcing the hand of the other news outlets by calling them unpatrotic and too liberal if they ask tough questions, well then we will never get the truth.

I don't know why people don't listen to lifelong consumer advocate Nader?

  • I believe the facts behind the fiction of Zeitgeist. Yes, most of us are debt slaves to the banking system and maybe Horus instead of Jesus is relevent but as far as this government of ours being competent enough to orchestrate 9/11 is a bit of a stretch. Now, I'm not saying a select few could have known about it in advance and looked the other way. I just think some secrets are too hard to keep.

  • So our government isn't competent enough but Osama Bin Ladin and a bunch of men that spend most of their time in a cave are?

  • I'm pretty sure some of those men took flying lessons in America.

  • Oh I am sure they did too. My point is that although Bush is dumb, these "terrorists" are dumber. If you look at the evidence, there is no doubt in my mind that our government either allowed it or facilitated it and the "terrorists". Just like with the whole ANTHRAX incident, we will find out, EVENTUALLY!

  • My gaodfather was David Breeden (the late artist) and his brother Tom (I still keep up with) IS a CURRENT MEMBER of the CFR and while I don't want to go into the pros or cons of that whole org. - There is no evidence that Obama (or his wife) is a member. Tom has never seen him on the member lists and so - I wanted to let you in on a secret - I am supporting Cynthia McKinney - I can not vote - or I would vote for her - BUT OBAMA IS NOT a CFR member - I am sure that it is a LIE you are telling!

  • Be a cynic. If any exertion is involved, there is an agenda in action. Trust no one!

Nietzsche said to flip every claim to truth on its head and evaluate the inverse against the premise. Only then can you determine the most

    likely.

My input consists of a little:

    propaganda - Fox, party-aligned books

conspiracy - Coast to Coast, youtube

    independent- Democracy Now, blogs

    academic - numerous texts.

For everything ask why, discern agendas, compare the overlap. What is compelling?

  • Nietzsche unfortunately turned over the wrong truths.

  • If I believed that everything Alex Jones says is true it would sound as dumb as when Christians say something has to be true because it's said in the Bible.

The only truth we'll ever know is that we can never know the truth.

  • "believe any and everything Alex Jones says?" Alex Jones is a Joke! Even though he was the gateway for many people. Chemtrails are very real I've watched them being made myself. Haarp is very real. If it's being used in a manner that is harmful, I don't know (but it exist). New World Order is very real and there's enough info to support it everywhere. The players are the complicated part. Watch Steve Cokely about "the Boule" on youtube. Not enough room here to speak indepth!!

  • weve known about the corparte media and how they control the truth for a long time, bob dylan knew it in the 60's, watch his time magazine interview

  • The only people who really know what's going on are those of the upper tiers of financing, zionism and corporations. These people run corporate media which cultivates the thoughts of the unthinking majority.

People confuse the public face of Bush for power, that is simplistic and naive to think that way, there is a whole base of power that preselects prospective candidates.

The best we can do is source as much news as we can from as many different sources especially from pariah and taboo sites

  • Did Ben Franklin hide his true identity, as he wrote ideals at the time, sending in comments to a newspaper way back? I dunno. But, it does seem possible. (plausible) I am so sorry for the lack of personal respect of Our Nations people towards One Another. Sorry, as in sorrow. When was the last time, you ever wished bad things to happen to another? Yea. We USA people are pretty much kind to all others. Make Our government be the same. Somehow?

  • in the modern day every single source of information is now called into question. It's not like the good old days where you believe anything the news told you. I suppose the only thing we have left is our friends and our selves to count on to be truthful. Sometimes we can't even trust that much. The people we are facing are not masters of physics, mathematics, biology, or engineering, but masters of control. They use the most powerful weapon in the world, the media to manipulate our minds.

  • Haarp passes mine

People in power trying to rule stuff passes mine

Chemtrails passes mine Altho I wont say or claim to know exactly what is in the chemtrails.

My Litmus test is take all the knowledge I have about people and physics and such place it in a blender with a splash of probility factors. Then toss all that away and go with what feels correct and right.

  • YOU KNOW DON'T YOU?!

  • You have to consider all things, and decide about it on your own. I believe a lot of things but some things i don't. But i don't discredit conspiracy theorys as "nutjobs". I just look at their theorys fact ect. and decide on my own. I am undecided on a lot of things.

  • Master Fard Muhammad, The Honorable Elijah Muhammad and The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan (The best litmus test)

  • I often have the same problem. I sure as hell know that I can't trust anything the corporate media says but then again when I try to seek independent sources it sounds conspiratorial. Now I know that it may be intellectually slothful to dismiss them just because of that but many things just sound too incredible to be true.

  • I tend to watch how they report. If they are biased and leading with thier reports, interviews, findings, ect. Then I know they cannot be truthful. Real News stats facts. It's dull, it's boring, and it doesn't contain stuff on briteny's lastest panty shot. lol. Pleae how disgusting of a news medai to think this is important!

  • Corporate news contains truth truth and bullshit, the same goes for independent news. The only difference is the Corporate news has the power to convince most of the population and their shareholder value is more important than the truth.

On the other hand independent news have no reason to lie because they have no direct contact with their sponsors, they just use services like "adsense", but the independent news isn't as prestigious as cnn, fox, nbc, etc. and they don't get as many sources.

  • BELIEF is the problem. Belief is saying 'I don't know'. Decisions based on belief rather than verifiable information are decisions based on, 'I DON'T KNOW'.

Humans have a difficult time accepting the fact 'We do not know'. What we don't know is deeper than what we know. Rather suffer honest insecurity of not knowing human beings 'create' apparatus like God and News to create and explain the information WE DO NOT HAVE.

    Creating a litmus test?

Step 1: Admitting what we do not know.

  • that's what i keep trying to convince the other know nots, but its futile. something sooo obvious is that the bottem line is we don't know. you gotta really wonder if they are brainwashed. seems obvious to me.

  • I regretted saying that Public Consensus was my Litmus Test, but it's hard to explain how instinct factors into my decision making. Of course I rely on gut feeling regardless if I'm right or wrong. But I get confused with the lies they tell us sometime so I resort to Public Consensus when I'm under confident. But that's a cop out so never again.

  • Bujirock: You took the words right out of my mouth - instinct, gut feelings & confusion.

  • i believe everything i can manage to, both the conspiracy theorists and the conspirators.

truth isn't a verdict, it's a process that never ends. keep your eyes open, trust no one, trust everyone, it's the same.

day to day, live with as much truth as you can find, from people that say "it's all a lie." and also the gullible and wishful thinkers.

look from one side to the other, repeat. the faster you can do this the closer to truth you might be. it's not the middle, it's just "somewhere."

  • tubedeejay: "Truth isn't a verdict".

    You're good

  • if you like that, have a look at what i just found: watch?v=GY2Z27Y-HJE "pinter nobel lecture"

it's very long, the part to see is the first three minutes.

  • tubedeejay: That was fucking great! thanks for pointing the way. The first 3 minutes were insightful and ominous but people should watch the whole thing; It Is Worth It.

  • Great Question, that's hard to answer. I guess my litmus test is, and it's sad to say, Public Consensus. Unless I have firsthand experience or tangible evidence to work with. It's hard to validate all of the conclusions that I come to. But I try not to just listen to others.

  • Public Consensus is the one thing that should never be accepted as a litmus test.

Just look at history and you will see that throughout the ages 99 out of 100 times the Public Consensus has been horribly wrong.

  • ALIENS ATE MY CHIHUAHUA!!

  • did they use hot sauce?

  • Salsa, sour cream, and black beans.

  • I guess I would compare someone's actions and behavior vs what they say. Also secondary and third sources of independent verification. Also the common sense test. Humans are too fallible to keep a big secret secret for too long. Its really difficult to organize and plan a coverup.

  • How do I decide truth from exaggeration or lies?I do what all people do, even the ones who just write the facts. I can only view the world from my point of view as anyone can so I am forced to choose what I want to believe just as everyone is. It is sometimes skewed or incorrect but I always leave the door open for the possibility I may be wrong or even the addition of more information. That is all any of us can do. Follow what we feel is right and stay open for the possibility it may be wrong.

  • Plus truth is somthing that can and shuld work for everyone. when u get to the basic elements of anything - u hav clarity. So if u break all the bits down and u will b able to c all the obstacles placed ther by som 4 their benefit. SO the truth is the same for ervyone if we r able 2 take the obstacles away - or the reasons they r placed ther. once u hav an understanding of the structures and the whys- it is not hard to find the truth.

The Truth shall set u free!LOLZ -som1 had 2 write it.

  • I think even a blind person can see the injustices in the world. Once seen/felt one questions the state of affairs and tries to understand what/why/who/how of these. These ultimately raises more questions and takes one further and further into finding the truth. Most of can c that the world is NOT functioning ina harmonious/peaceful/loving and fair way...so we then ask ourselves if i can see this then why do our leaders keep chosing things that make the world worse.

  • the true LITMUS TEST is this :

    CUI BONO. WHO BENEFITS.

    Let's see a short-list:

    ExxonMobile, et al.

    Larry Silverstein Properties.

    The Pentagon.

google : webfairy 250+ smoking guns

  • Honestly have you listened to your self. Your all over the place sir.

  • objective research from schools of thought that might not have anything to do with my own.People are mislead by just researching opinions that seem to coincide with their own.

  • Things are about to get a whole lot different.

As you know on the web, a great deal of advertising is now being placed without regard to content or opinions expressed and spots are auctioned off to the highest bidder.

When this phenomena spreads to television or when tv goes to the web, the influence of corporations over news content will be greatly diluted.

Think about it. Do the advertisers on this page have any control over what I am typing?

  • Google (owns youtube) and one could argue they now have the influence over message advertisers used to have, but Google has to let me speak if they wish to maintain this power, at least its working that way right now.

    Could that change? Its possible.

  • "History does not repeat itself but it does rhyme."---Mark Twain

What happened prior to the trajedy on September 11, 2001? What was going on in the Clinton administration? How many people died while Clinton was in office due to American occupation in foreign lands? What are the cause/effects of the 2001 trajedy? Who benefits and at what costs? Illegal wiretapping/arrests/censorship/brutalizing antiwar protestors? Why is the gov. killing childen? Why are we in perpetual war? Who runs our gov.???

  • IMO, taking an interest in conspiracy theories is nothing more than a hobby. It can even become an addiction. Douglas Coupland even came up with a term for it: Historical Overdosing. It's living in a time when too much is happening. Symptoms include addiction to newspapers and TV news ... and now the Internet. Doing your own research on these things and reaching your own conclusions is all well and good, but some of the people I encounter on the Net really need to take a break once in a while.

  • You have a nice body. I bet you got a huge dick.

  • I'm sure the the majority of the population will just laugh if you told them that kids were killed in a bad CIA cocaine deal. sad. The word "conspiracy" has been tainted so horribly that when ever it is used, people just think "psycho"

If only our IQ's could be printed on our shirts for a day, and posted along side our comments....just one day. Peace

  • my litmus test.ok.i believe in the grand conspiracy because i think it is provable probable and even somewhat sensible.things i can see the point in doing in other words.jfk, rfk, mlk, pearl harbor, god, fake moon landing 911 roswell coverup.all make sense if you give it thought.its about control.however, nibiru, bases under antartica, nazi ufos, creating a new star, second sun.all seem silly.technologically impossible or improbable.endless greed and lust for power makes sense.any means fair in that arena

  • You are so fucking brilliant. No one would have ever been able to raise the issue quite like you did. I envy your linguistic talent.

  • Cultural diversion- recognize it when you see it. we're told no, we're unimportant, we're peripheral, get a degree, get a job, get a this get a that. And then you're a player. But you don't even want to play in this game, you want to reclaim your mind and get it out of the hands of the cultural engineer that want to turn you into a half-backed moron consuming all this trash that's being manufactured out of the bones of a dying world. where is that at? -TM

  • your view that corporate media is the problem is untrue.

We in the UK have the BBC, a government funded media, and at the same time it's "independent". What has happened since is that it's been caught red handed lying about the government (For which the gov took them to court and won). Their own internal team found their reporters (for example on middle east) are bias, one sided and inaccurate. They blocked the release of that research and sued those trying to open it under freedom of info.

  • the problem is journalistic culture. Not simply corporations.

You think the BBC doesn't have "agendas"? They, although it's illegal for them to discuss anything, refuse to ever discuss their own funding.. every time funding methods of BBC are in question in most medias, the BBC ban their reporters from discussing it.

it's the culture of an (all) organization thats flawed, not simply a method of financing. So all media groups have interests. "corporate" media is an untrue term 4 the prob.

  • *illegal for them to ban discussion of a topic I mean

  • No planes hit the towers. It was a TV fiction, a crude computer-generated overlay insert, a "fictive simulation" in the parlance of the Air Force College. Real planes crash upon impact rather than hesitating so that the explosion originates from interior the tower. Planes are built like eggs, designed to overcome gravity. Newton's 3rd law of motion posits the plane endure an equal reaction to that which the tower undergoes. But the tower is a monolith of double reinforced steel and concrete.

  • Sigurd: My roommate, at the time, physically saw one of the planes hit WTC.

  • No, he didn't. Ask him about some details. It never happened to see.

  • Sigurd: Yep. We lived on the East River in Brooklyn Heights at the time. He missed the first plane hit, but he actually saw the second. Eyewitnesses Trump wishful thinking.

  • And my grandpappy saw Martians when Orson told him to in 1938. Witnesses are notoriously inept.

Perhaps he saw the flyby vehicle in conjunction with the explosion and took the bait as intended when the media insisted it was a passenger plane. It couldn't even physically happen. Do you get me? Aside from the fact that such a plane would never make it through the building's exterior and that it can't fly at 550 mph at near sea-level, how does it emerge nosecone intact the other side? TV fakery.

  • Perhaps some of us compromise the integrity of 911-truth by going too far & believing *every* theory. This veers us over into 'conspiracy theorists'. I guess we'll just have to disagree, but the last word is on you. ;-)

  • The "integrity" of 911 truth"? Shut the fuck up. What does integrity have to do with the magical belief that pretend hijacked planes disregard physical reality to pass through the solid of the WTC towers without reacting? Without even hesitating? That's not a real plane in the videos. It's an extraneous, overlaid, inserted image. Do you accept the parallel approach "Flight 175" or the dive bomber 175 video as representative of reality. Can't have both. But both exist. Conspiracy is a fact.

  • Sigurd: lol . So angry. What's w/ the name-calling. You must admit that it's funny how someone who wasn't there insists they know more than an eye witness. It's not that conspiracy is fact, it's that the truth is not a conspiracy. The media lies and those who go too far are the conspirators. PS: Tell me to shut the fuck up again. I like it when you talk dirty. ;)

  • shut the fuck up.

You are keen on tube fashion.

    Truth means shit to you.

  • Good Question Protean. There's an MIT Engineer who claims that the WTC was brought down by an internal explosion. However, there are many more Engineers that give the status quo answer. How do you decide between the two?

When hypothesizing that someone is lying, I think have to ask what their incentives for lying are.

The Media waters down the truth because that's what the public wants. Media is a profit maximizer like any other type of firm. It's paper or plastic, not a grand conspiracy.

  • It's actually very natural for people to do so; animals have strict demands on their partners too when it comes to partner choice.

For example; women are attracted to musculor men with a high social status because "nature tells them subconciously" that their offspring would have a higher survival rate. This is why power, strenght, success, social status and such are considered attractive traits; nature wants us to be picky to ensure survival of the fittest.

  • my test for the truth of a "conspiracy":

    1) Plausibility:

Motive, means and opportunity for actors involved. Physical possibility for objects. Mathematical coherence for systems.

    2) Evidence: Verifiable and preferably direct. If circumstantial, any and all inferences must be statistically justified.

    3) Occam's razor: It's the most efficient and concise explanation for the evidence, requiring the fewest assumptions/suppositions.

    cont'd

  • The problem is when I have some, but not all of the above. For example, I suspect that some major investors are keeping oil prices high, pushing down the stock market more quickly, so that they can make more money on their short equity positions. It is plausible, and it is the most rational explanation for irrationally high oil prices., so I have 1 and 3. However, I haven't found evidence of it yet (2), although I'm not sure where I would look.

  • funkalunatic: "I haven't found evidence of it yet". Look at the Senate hearings about energy price manipulation. You can find it on my channel.

  • Well, "litmus test" implies a simple, reliable test, and there isn't one. Some extreme things have turned out to be true.

Over time, you can see which "far-out" things you choose to believe did get verified, and how many didn't, and see where you have emotional biases, or conversely have good intuition-ditto for news sources.

I like what iTellYouNoLie said below & ad don't be afraid to be wrong, make working hypotheses, and undate as needed.

  • I submit to you that the Popper test is the best. When you say "some xtreme things..." of course you have to specify what the original claim was and what the facts that corroborated it turned out to be later. 4 Xample: "Kennedy was killed by the US gov". Let's say sometime in the future every fact becomes declassified and we learn the true identities and circumstances involved. Even if the assassin(s) were employed by the US gov the original statement is too vague to be considered factual.

  • Here is why: there are many criminals who get jobs to get closer to accomplishing their ends and also Kennedy was part of that gov. So to say "Kennedy was...etc" is a typical vague "conspiracy" statement that doesn't convey any valuable information about the true identity and motives of the assassins and thus can be dismissed as not factual or factually falsifiable. In other words, there is no single person known as "The Government" and as an organization it's too vast to be any useful here.

  • howard hunt confessed on his deathbed, he was the grassy knoll shooter, he worked for the CIA under bush sr., and he was also one of the guys implicated in the watergate scandal. you can follow his career tagging along with bush Sr.

  • No, Hunt never said that. According to the Rolling Stone piece from 07 his son St. John had some tapes and manuscript copies in which E Howard confessed he lied to investigators and that LBJ gave the order to kill JFK but that the Grassy Noll shooter was a french maffiaman. He also sued the right wing Liberty Lobby in the 70s for spreading lies about him being the shooter. But this is exactly my point. Most of the people implicated are dead, archives probably sanitized: fails the Popper test.

  • I don't "believe" anything. heres why, when you believe in something, you lose that spark in your mind that there might be additional information, or just another side of the story. When you realize having an idea about what happened is better than a belief, life makes more sense. plus people will kill and die for beliefs, ideas can be altered.

  • bravo

  • Well many times, if something is said, I try to see how much I think of it is true. Then many times I will look at the other side and see what they use to debunk it. Then I try to find proof or evidence of such things. Then really I jsut go from there and see where I land. Though, I know sometimes when you find something by these means, they dont mean you are right still. So really, its just another way of seeing what happens and see what comes up and many times, it has worked.

  • Dude, you just (re)discovered the demarcation problem. The answer is easy: FALSIFIABILITY. That is if you can articulate a (at min theoretically) testable set of circumstances under which you are ready to abandon a belief, you are on solid grounds. 4 x, if you say "The Asian Tsunami was caused by underwater nuclear explosions". What would be the piece of physical evidence that would prove/disprove such claim? Do we have access to it? If not, it's a waste of your time. Wiki Karl Popper!

  • The game's up Bush, if you had any honor you'd run a hot bath and slash your wrists. You will not be missed by us and neither will history look kindly back on you.

  • mmm hmm

  • I recommend "Revere Radio Network" & "Genesis" (Internet Stations)

  • Things are very simple for a simple person like me. I look and listen for the letters 'BBC'.

I also accept 'AP' without too much thinking. But when Bill O'Reilly talks, alarm bells start ringing.

  • Is your info source credible? Many politicians and media have denied or kept silent that there is legislation to build a highway to connect US, Canada, and Mexico. Fred Thompson denied knowing anything about it. Jeffrey Toobin said on CNN it was a conspiracy theory. Ron Paul said in a debate that there was legislation that was already in Congress for the highway and a few months later over 10,000 texans protested the construction at town hall meetings. Ron Paul = Credibility. CFR members none.

  • There is no truth, only perception...

  • There are alot of declassified government documents though that support some of the craziest of conspiracies. (eugenics, prescott bush funding hitler, hillary clinton in the world federalist association)....and i do believe FEMA has too much power, especially since they teamed up with homeland security.

  • After all the research ive done, (MKulltra, COUNTELPRO), and documntaris ive seen, I find it hard to really belive anything anymore. counter-intelligences primary goal is to spread mis-information within a group, they did it within the Black Panthers. I do belive Alex Jones motives are sincere but i dont belive everything he says. Sometimes its a stretch. I belive Ben Fulford is spreading disinfo for the elites. I guess you have to take everything on a case by case basis. Question Everything.

  • Play it like a chess game, like a juror in a circumstantial evidence case. Don't act on what you might believe just yet. For example, Economist professors 20 years ago were all worried about the year 2010 being the time when we have the greatest population increase in one year than people died in all wars. Now somehow we forget that and do the opposite by allowing a gagillion immigrants in. We have hyperinflation since 1999 and they act like it just started. The owners plan on selling out

  • Do you play basketball.....I'm asking because of the top your wearing !

  • i would need 100 comments to tell you what I believe, so I will only share the method of research I undertake before I believe something as Truth.

When I encounter a new piece of conspiracy information I first ask, does it make LOGICAL sense?

Does this idea serve to enslave the population and benefit the Illuminati?

Can the claim be backed up by an unrelated third AND fourth party source preferably through print.

Things to look for: mysterious disappearances of people or retraction of statement.

  • The American accent is just too difficult to follow.

  • apparently ebola old virus was an alien virus they bring here in an attempt to kill us all. epic fail. i would not give them a 2nd chance. well govt dosnt give a damn. they give living people to the aliens in exchange of awesome technology of destruction. we screwed. when they decided they got enough human dna flesh to recolonize earth. they just going to flush us out. matter of time.

they might come in peace. yeah. but why we dont know a damn about this. we need to know.

  • the nasa is apprently dvelopping usa ultimate weapon. no its not the ion canon. well as far as i know. hope the ion canon never go to space. the nasa bolts down huge rockets to ground to perform test. well they found out that, they altered earth inclination by a little. effects will be seen in 500 years. but if they put rockets in every pole of earth. 6 pole in total. with a super computer they can change earth inclination and modify weather at short term.

  • and create super storms. at excact places on earth. storms can be from huge volcano exlosion, thunder nukes. YES. trust me you dont whant to see one happen. it happen when planets dies. it is when all thunder strikes hit the same spot for more then 2 mins. with les then 1 seconds between each strike. builds up a mass of energy that kind of stay stabilized as long there is thunder hitting it. but when it stops or the delay gets to long. the energy implodes. and can create a sound blast as

  • powerful as a nuclear explosion. those storm never occures by itself. but if you can control earth mouvment you can create limitless storms combination.

would not suprise me if a earthquake hit israel or super sand storm, or even a hurricane party. humm. i mean one hurricane after each other. from 3 to 10 or more.right in the middle of the desert lol. that would suck for them.they would think allah trying to kill them.

  • oh and did you knew that our govt knows how to build a powerful supercharged plasma laser canon."and they barelly know how to make portable rail-guns" there's like 20 years of reserch between the 2 technology.

rail guns are from our timeline. yes. but not plasma canon. we cant build a light speed engine. well... thats what we hear on tv. but shhhh. dont tell anyone lol.

warp drive: requires fission reactor+ ecm trusht engines +inertial dampner+ power sheilding to attach dampner to.and a ship.

  • one last conspiracy. probably the worst one.

history books are lying to us. are they?

apparently ancient egypt pyramids dosnt came from ancient egypt. but far more older. it come from the osiris, atlantis civilisations.

pyramids were used as a pin point location for the stars that could be seen from space.

just by space looking the pyramids indicate the location of habitable systems. and why is it been reavealed. mars had pyramids too.

with a simillar disposition from space.

  • everyone knows the legend of the bigfoot. right? supposly big foot is a phase 2 muttilated human with genetic modification, that did not pass out well. the experiment escaped. and it toke the research team enough time. so that us might have come to see a such beast. beast like that just dosnt come from nature. our govt isnt telling everything. just look on internet for ECHALON super computer conspiracy.

  • did you guys knew about this weird conspiracy? listen up.

apparently anti-depressor pills were engenired inside area 51.or nevada research facillity if you prefer. anti depressor are supposed a way that those "aliens" apparently whant to use to pacify the earthlings. but they need to back this up. by messing up everything else so they can distribute this drug to population. anti-depressor actually blocks your psychic reactions."we dont even know how to use our psychic" but we can block it. wtf

  • Evidence from 3 sources on any subject or rumor is good enough for me. I believe in guilt by REPEATED associations. NWO and North American union will be more than obvious very soon. Neo Con = Evil. Every thing they do and touch, and all their associations are evil. They are all financed by Israel so, start from there. Follow the money and you will find the source of all political problems.

  • I don't really have a litmus test. It has to make sense then I go from there. Unfortunately money does talk. And most people are apathetic to things when committed by those who are well off.

concerning the NWO and NAU some interesting trivia you may already know. The Latin words on the US dollar bill. On the left back side of the bill, the words "Annuit Coeptis" above the pyramid, and "Novus Ordo Seclorum" below the pyramid.

  • Great video, and even better questions. I'm going through the same thing myself. For example, I have learned something about chemtrails, and I know there's ways to find out these things. The only solid evidence seems to be past transgressions, uncovered by the Freedom Of Information Act. (Send me anything, folks. I'm serious.) That's just one example, but it demonstrates malicious conduct by the government at the expense and risk of the people's safety and/or health.

  • everythings a conspiracy until its researched by yourself.

i am my own independant media.

thats what we should all be doing, rather than sitting around, waiting for someone else to do it, ...which is at the point where it normally becomes corrupt

  • I disagree, everything is NOT a conspiracy until its researched by yourself.

The more time we take figuring out what they are doing the more time we give them to get the upper hand on us. The evidence is overwhelming, now lets move on to the next logical step which is "alert others". Its not rocket science.

  • That's a tough question. If you believe everything you hear and see on the news is bullshit and everything you see and hear from the government is bullshit then the only thing you can do is think the opposite. If something is said to be true, then it's false. If something is said to be good; then it's bad. Examples; the Surge, Iraq War, 911, Oil crises, Food crises, home mortgages, Iran's nuclear program, drug advertisements on tv, and all commercials. Are we being wagged?

  • Pro-Impeachment is my litmus test. Gore Vidal said 9 1 1 was a coup d'etat. The New World Corporate Government ARE the media. Do you really think they are going to investigate themselves; as they revise history as it happens? Umberto Eco said the next dictatorship will be a media dictatorship ( he said it was worse in Italy). The media pulled off the coup and the press has been comatose in Stolkholm Syndrome ever since.

    I like counterpunch(.)org radioopensource(.)org

  • Learn all you can about Nikola Tesla, then youll see how HAARP is possible, as far as the nwo learn all you can about Bill Cooper. Then decide if any of it is real. :)

  • And the more shit your country becomes the more easily conspiracy theories become believable. Personally watching this laws being passed day by day lets me believe that our country is being sold out. Yet many people won't believe it, yet even look into it, because their attention span is about as long as a movies worth. If they dont see their gov't doing horrible things in a matter of days then its not that sensational enough to take action. These people work day in and day out to control you.

  • I believe there are many things set by design. TV for one is the biggest tool for it. I wish everyone would just turn their TV off for a year. Then perhaps we could get somewhere making change. Coming home from a hard days work and watching the bs on TV makes us all that more stupid and just that much more closer to losing all freedom. "brave new world, support the troops, big brother." Shit slogans is what is killing us yet people are so ignorant to even care to look at what it all means.

  • Exactly.

If you take away CNN, BBC, FOX, Reuters, etc, etc, etc... then what do you have? You have an Internet full of more bias news sources like 911truth (DOT) com or something. All news will be bias to the perspective that is reporting it, you won't escape that. Best thing to do is cross examine sources, then do your own research, if you really want to know. Journals, peer-reviewed sources, newspapers, other reports... See what 'facts' match up. Make your own decisions on what they mean.

  • I think my litmus test has two, very similar criteria.

The first is plausibility: is there evidence? how likely is it? would anyone have a reason to make it up?

The second is simplicity: is there a simpler, more straightforward explanation?

If something sounds a bit far fetched, there's generally a good reason for that. If something sounds too good to be true, there's normally a good reason for that too.

  • Re: chemtrails and HAARP, go check the EENS website. In Jeff Rense's website you can see some other stuff about this subject.

  • My Litmus test for estabishing credibility of a conspiracy therory is: Firstly when I notice that it is apparent any diversion from the therory being posed or ridicule of one who questions. Secondly is if I discover the theory is true via first hand knowladge or results from personal investigation support the claim. Third is that awakened feeling that you have just discovered something for the first time. Finally is when you look at what you think may now be true from a different perspective
