Sick band! I don't mind the lyrics but then again I am Catholic. Hopefully people that don't like their music because of the religiously influenced lyrics can put that fact aside and just listen to this great band. For example: I love Pantera and their song Becoming. Becoming is (to me at least) about the devil and how he thinks he can become "Godsize". I won't stop listening to Pantera or their song Becoming all because I fear it may count as influencing the devil. I know where I stand morally.

Good music is good music. That song specifically is kinda like going inside the mind of Satan and kinda exploring what he may have felt when he turned on God. I see nothing wrong with that, listen to the song yourself, the song is bad-ass. These guys are the most annoying good band ever. Their riffs, vocals, drums, atmosphere, and songwriting are all excellent...But somehow I just can't get past their preaching and staunch Christian view. No problem with being Christian, but trying to appoint yourself clergyman through your music is annoying and doesn't make sense in METAL. The song The God That Failed is about how he felt trapped and generally hurt by the religion although he doesn't harbor any ill will to it now that he is older. He says all of this himself in Classic Albums Black Album Metallica. I believe its just another Metallica DVD but it is posted here on youtube so you can find it if you look. P.S.
