  • wow man that marshal `s crazy on you (:

  • No way I'm gonna sit and listen to a guy demo an amp for 20 minutes... Well here I am 20 minutes later... great job & sweet shredding!

  • Way too much time spent on each mode, otherwise very nice.

  • Hei!

I recommend a Marshall 412 with this amp. I like Greenbacks best, but V30 is good too. Just a preference.

    Mange takk!

  • His guitar is actually a suhr.

  • Oh my god dude. your tone on the clean sound is insane awesome! how do you get it? And is that a fender strat?

  • thanks man!

  • Love watching your demo's thanks for sharing. Great video very thorough

  • hey i gotta question if you buy one of these and dont have a cab can you play it by itself?

  • @TheOutdates unless it has a headphone jack, you're out of luck. It doesn't have internal speakers.

  • At 10:40, when you flip to the bridge pup and roll back the volume, that sounds just like "Life In The Fast Lane" by the Eagle, tone. I have a 410h on the way. Can't wait to plug it in.

  • @LPMojoGL by bridge you mean middle

  • GOOD PLAY GUITARE MAN..!! thxx u..!!!!

  • Muy bueno vieja!

  • Great demo, and great playing! Thanks for sharing...may have to get myself one of these babies!

  • Dude, you play with amazing rhythm!!!!!!!!

  • I am looking into buying a new amp and I was looking at this one or a orange rockerverb mk2, and I'm trying to get a good rock and metal distortion from the amp Wich one is better

  • I have this amp,it is awesome...my favourite channel is OD2 red with layers of delay from my m13 stompboxer.

  • @rotren ohhh men you are great, i want to play like you! can you please teach me the lick in minute: 1:00

  • @rotren ohhh men you are great, i want to play like you!

  • you really rock dude

  • @francislevasseur4 Thanks a lot!

  • my friend how many cost this marsall!!!

  • too muvh buttons for me just like an ENGL

  • Great review! Can you please teach us that lick you play at 3.14 ?

  • @LP4ever94 Hmm, might do a lesson on something like that!

  • @rotren if you do.. you could also do a follow-up with 7:30-7:38 : ) pardon my language but it was fucking awesome.

  • Better good for how much it costs.

  • look at jwcfree he is a good at playing the gutair

  • i watch this cos of your playing, your so good.

  • I've been playing through a cheap 100w Fender Frontman for years, but the thing just lacks so much bass and depth that I really want a big upgrade now. I feel like getting a 50w combo, because 100w is totally not necesary, and I want a Marshall. What do you guys recommend? I want to spend up to 1000 euro on it.

    Thanks in advance :).

  • @Brutalyeah Yeah dude dont get the new MG series.... Id recommend the ATV Series which you could get second hand for around 200-500 euro :)

  • @TanqMuffin id also reccomend the AVT Series. good amps

  • Anyone who has an amp like this, has to be a serious player...

  • ok i know this is about as loud as it gets but with the volume all the way down is it still incredibly loud?

  • Nice playing!!!, does it includes a footswitch?

  • Steve Jobs can play guitar so well! jkjkjk. You are really good mate!

  • At which websites can I learn these kinds of licks?

  • @TheHybridlogic

a real guitar teacher is da shit ;)

or buy a book, I tried teaching myself from the web, just doesn't work out real well.

  • awe-inspiring playing

  • Strange cab to use with one of the best metal amps in existence.

  • should i get this or an EVH 5150 III for all types of rock?

  • Comment removed

  • great sound!

  • i love your musique <3<3<3<3

  • Marshall JVM410H or Mesa Boogie MARK V. which one is better?

  • @Anesth3s1A

Dude, that's an entirely subjective question, how should anybody possibly answer that for you? Both are great amps. Go into a music store, test them and decide yourself which one you like better.

Also take into consideration that a Mesa will be much cheaper in the US and a Marshall cheaper in Europe, because you don't have to pay the bloody import taxes if you buy an amp in the region in which its made.

  • Are you gay????? WTF!!!!!

  • what is the best amp head for metal, that has both a clean and overdrive/distortion channel ( i dont really care how many channels, as long it has both)??

  • @luisguitarc214 Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier.

If you're on a budget then go with the Ibanez TBX150H, which is a solid state but it gets BRUTAL metal tones, and only costs $250 :o

But yeah, if you have the money go for the dual rectifier hands down lulz.

  • @MrCh33pshot cool, thanks man, i already have a solid state marshall dave mustaine and its pretty good but i wanna check out a tube amp, so ima search for some good deals with the mesa boogie....thanks again

  • is there any difference in terms of tone between this amp and the 215c?

  • Hey guys...just wondering...

How is this amp at getting a chimy Vox or a sparkling Fender tone?

  • @MrGANator100 fyi...I'm kidding ;)

  • THAT HEAD IS S3CKS.

  • My dream amp <3 to bad its so fucking expensive </3

  • Hey buddy, I know times are tough, but start saving up.

  • You are the right guy to do the demo. Your playing really kickass

  • great demo, idk why but I just hate all marshall amps... im really trying to like them... i just idk... i guess theyre too loose distortion, no decent clean (too saturated for me) and they kinda sound sloppy in higher gain, also they have looots of highs and not enough lows and mids for me, does anyone know a marshall that has more of what I'm looking for? Idc about price either, im probably going to buy a Diezel VH4 since I'm absolutly in love with them, but I wanna make sure I'm not missing a

  • @chandler513 It's true Marshalls aren't strong in the low mids. But if you listen to this one, for example, you'll notice the complex harmonics happening in the sound. It's very organic and exciting-sounding. 6505s and other hi-gain amps sound powerful, but the distortion is stompbox-like and flat. When you pair up with a bass player you'll have no problem with having as powerful of a sound as you want with Marshalls.

  • Goddamn you're good.

  • We like marshall jvm!

    Flying Renos.

  • we like it!

  • awesome amp, awesome demo, awesome playing.

  • @metalmachine00 Good question, I'm not sure.

  • Great amp but it doesn't go up to 11...

  • My Les Paul is screaming at me to buy this XD

  • @MrPurpleguitar So does mine xD

  • Maybe this is a wierd question, but how is the dynamics of the amp?

I'm a dynamic guitarist and i love the sound of the amp, but is this amp the right choice for me?

  • @Odinsgade It is very dynamic...

  • Im not sure which one to get for my full stack using 1960 A+b cabinets

this head or im better of with the JCM800 2203(reeisue)

any suggestion anybody?pricewise is about the same

    using jackson guitars

  • your playing is fcking awsome. how long do U practice each day and how long u been playing. proper sick licks, U can always tell a good guitar player from a novice

  • @TheTangentUK Thanks man! I don't practice much these days, have no time. I did put in a lot of practice as a teenager though. Several hours per day back then.

  • Comment removed

  • does the marshal hum when its turned right up mate

  • @TheTangentUK With lots of gain, it can get noisy for sure.

  • CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE TELL ME HOW MUCH THESE GO FOR JUST THE HEAD?!

  • Great demo movie!!!

  • I'm sure that his neighbours don't like him at all XD

    what a JAM

  • @Silvermanav its funny, I'm a drummer and my neighbors actually come outside and listen whenever I practice lol

  • 16:22 Oh Yeah!!!!! Love those notes!!!!

  • GREAT Demo.

    Thanks.

  • Yeah man, nice playing. A Marshall can sound as good or bad as its master tells it to. Marshall haters are idiots, i used to be one . . . . until i actually played one for the first time, then i realized what a douchebag i was for thinking i understood what they were about without having played one. Marshall puts a smile on my face and possess an authority no other amp does. People who talk bad on Marshall haven't used one or literally don't know how to play guitar.

  • @JamesNiskyMusic I've played lots of Marshalls and there hit and miss for me I tried out an original plexi and that was a dream put a tube screamer in front and it can do any style, but then I tried the JVM210 and it was shit, no gain even at high volumes and didn't work well with humbckers on cleans so I would say it's preference but there amps older than 20 years are all spectacular :)

  • Modern Marshall designs do everything half-ass and nothing really well.

Better cleans - Vox, Mesa, Fender

Better mid gain crunch - Ax84 home built amp (look it up online)

Better heavy - Diezel Herbert, Bogner Uberschall, Diezel VH4, Mesa Mark IV

Better leads - Mesa Mark IV, Diezel VH4

There is NOTHING that a Marshall amp is best at.

  • @squirttilithurts

    cept classic rock tones.

  • @squirttilithurts Well, I think it does *Marshall* tones best. :)

  • Do you recommend to get this with the 2X12 or 4X12 because the difference in price is only $100.

  • @Guitargawd13 The 4x12 would sound fatter and bigger.

  • what was the first song that you where playing? It sounded awsome :D

  • I just bought this head and a 4x12 orange cab :) let the good times roll

  • Best demo I've seen. Thanks.

  • Hot damn! Great playing and great sounding amp head :)

  • Can it break the glass of my window?

  • Thanks for the demo. Very thorough.

  • Wow, thank you so much for this great demo. The amp does sound very nice and that guitar sounds and looks so nice. How would you compare it to a Fender Stratocaster (American Standard say) as far as playability, and single coil hum related inconveniences. Once again, very well done and immensely helpful.

  • can I play this amp in my room DUDE!! if you can afford this amp why would you want to play it in your room ?? if you can buy this amp you can rent a

Rehearsal space, turn it up, use it the way it was meant to be used PROFESSIONALLY like I said this is a professional series amp b.t.w. Dave Mustaine uses this amp- you think he plays it in his room?? common really?

  • What guitar is this....are you kidding -if you don't know

you must have been born yesterday can you say STRATOCASTER!!!! geess

ever see a video of Jimmi Hendrix what guitar is he playing ????????????

    research learn practice practice practice

    all the best

  • @sjay72002 It is a Suhr Classic, the Classics usually go for $3000 and up. Guess YOU didn't know...

  • can i play with this amp in my room??? or it's too much??

  • @davidv155 you can always play something like this in a room but if you don't want the cops called on your ass i suggest get one 4 X 12 cab with this head. but its not really and amp made to be quiet since it has tubes. but it would still do the trick either way

  • @Sean2592 thanks a lot!... good luck!

  • The 19 dislikers can't tolerate such a legendary amp.

  • I really cant stop myself from watching the video again and again, it really stood out a character of its own, thanks rotren

  • I love this amp!!! Crisp cleans (even with humbuckers) and over the top distortion. Can't wait to get mine! Just a question though... What cab would you recommend for this head? I was thinking of going with a 1960.

  • @feo130 1960 is a good choice.

  • @feo130 i play this head with a 1960.. sounds amazing.. best amp on the planet ha!

  • @feo130 A local guy has the JVM410H and uses an Avatar Traditional 2x12 loaded with Celestion G12T-75s. I was surprised that he didn't get Vintage 30s or something (that I considered) "better". Then, I listened carefully at one of his gigs and realized that Marshall uses these speakers because they sound incredible. He's a LesPaul Standard player and plays Classic Rock, etc..

I find a vertical array of 12s (aka a 2x12 on its side) sounds better than a 4x12 as the mids are more natural.

  • fitter

    happier

    more productive

  • hi i have a question, when conecting the Jvm410H to a 1960A lead cab what ohmz do i use? i see that the head has 5 plug ins: 1 * 4, 1 * 8, 2 * 8, 2 * 16, 1 *16 and the cabinet has 2 plug ins stereo and mono?

  • remember...you are hearing from a video and not live

  • Dude, your playing puts the "fun" in "funky."

Really like the cleans, the crunch channel isn't much. though. The green and red modes on the OD1 channel were a tad mushy on the initial attack but had a nice back end bite while the red mode was ballsy. The OD2 channel owns with well defined distortion. .

  • I voted I like this.... what guitar is this, it really does the funk

  • @dewalwalers Suhr Classic.

  • great playing dude and loved the sound u got (that was a suhr right?) but it wouldve been good if somewhere in the 20 mins u were demoing u couldve demoed it with a guitar which has humbuckers

    just a suggestion...

  • I have one on order. Cant wait!

  • very good man!!

  • Great playing. Here are you playing it through a 2x12 cabinet? I just don't know whether to get the head and cabinet or a combo... I'm mostly in the house and moving a cabinet about is a bit of a nightmare. A 2x12 ca and 100w head could e a happy medium? whats your opinion?

  • @CastAirLead I prefer head and 2x12 cab. Easier to move around and easy to experiment with different cabs too.

  • @CastAirLead Just get a cab with wheels lol

  • is that a bandmaster cabinet?

  • man that guitar sounds so sparkly clean

  • Btw great playing YOU made the amp sound good....

  • My old singer bought this basically because he had no idea what good tone is........SUCKS!!!!!!

  • If you are going to buy any Marshall amp,, You have to play it loud man that is what Marshall is all about. Have you ever heard the saying "Hey man my Marshall goes to 11 "" hahaha lol Ya man,,, I like your playing man right on keep going !!!!!!!!

  • great skills, I'm a marshall fan too! sounds like SRV influenced. Have you tried a bbe sonic maximizer with your rig. you'll get lost in the sound. brings it to life.

  • Og jeg er dansker :D!!

  • Is this amp good at low volumes/bedroom volume? Please answare

     \m/

  • @MartiniusMusic Yes, it is super nice at low volume. Really. Most people don't know that, it seems, but it sounds killer even at very low volume.

  • PLEASE HELP

I just bought a JVM205 head and will soon be buying a 1960a 4x12 cab. I need help of what cables ill need and what Ohms, mono, stereo etc to use!!!!!!!!

  • is this amp good at low volumes

  • @thelespaul56, jag är svensk:)

  • Thank you, I was very curious about he blues/rock capabilities of this amp.

  • er du svensk?

  • @TheLespaul56 Jag är svensk, japp!

  • @rotren ok, du er flink :)

  • The crunch channel on red sounds awesome.

  • You, sir, are a baller.

  • Can you play with this in an apartment house so you wont disturb the neighbours ?

  • @TheCrazyAssault Yes for sure, no problem.

  • @TheCrazyAssault Well actually tubes are meant to get heated up to get their true quality

  • This or TSL100 for playing...Eh.. Classic rock to Death metal :P that kinda big range.. but what eva..

  • Great Vid-thx!

  • this amp includes a footswitch?

  • super))))

  • parabens muito bom

  • hi! very nice video and playing!!

suppose i buy this head. Could I change the tubes??

for example, if i don't like the EL34, could i replace them with KT88??

  • this guy looks like the doctor of the human centipede...

  • how much you paid for a head like that ?

  • Hey robert, I realized in ur other videos that u have a squier tellie. I'm intrested in a certain squier, the california squier strat. I have my first guitar which is a lp special 2 epiphone which I added seymour duncan 59's in them but I want something else, which is the stratocaster and the price is around $190 in US dollars. should I get it? and the strat is not the fat strat.

  • hi i was originally looking at a mesa boogie roadster/road king II and i was wondering how does this amp stack up against them? i play mostly metalcore with very melodic cleans and insanely dark distortion. please get back to me on this

  • what does it take for a guy to play like that? iv been playing for 2yrs and been taking lessons any tips?

  • @Musicmaker703 well its really a lot of scales (all i know is minor, major, pentatonic and a couple of the modes) you can start by searching the up pentatonic, and the the chords well, if you look up the tabs on ultimateguitar(.com) for purple haze, the first chord in purple haze after the intro is the first chord in this video. then you have to get years of experience to put all of that together as good as this guy

  • thanks man for demoing this with a strat everbody else demos it with a les paul and stuff, great playing by the way

  • これどっちかと言うとSuhrの影響の方が大きいよ。

  • Can you dislike the people who disliked this video?

I wish ignorant people knew how to keep their mouths shut, but if they did we wouldn't have the saying "empty cans make the most noise."

Awesome playing. Awesome STRAT TONE. Very, very nice sounding amp. I'm jealous, but I still like this.

  • 16 dislikes votes are just plain jelouse

  • how much marshall amp cost?

  • Do these have crappy footswitches like the TSL?

  • sounds ok amp is taking away from what marshall really is with all the nobs and channels 1 channel 6 nobs best thats the uglyest marshall amp ever

  • Wow man ur awesome. Can you please tell me if this amp would sound good with an epiphone les paul and please tell me. i want an amp that gives me a rich tone for rocky blues and hard rock and screamin solos. Is this amp good for like eddie van halen slash from guns n roses acdc please tell me! Ur awesome :)

  • @ecgedsel Thanks man. Yes it is awesome for all of that. Not kidding.

  • @ecgedsel Dude, this amp is good for anything, but wait, it's not good..IT'S THE BEST AMP EVER...

  • @ecgedsel

a marshall amplifier can be used with any kind of guitar,

    that's a ground rule (:
