Hei!
At 10:40, when you flip to the bridge pup and roll back the volume, that sounds just like "Life In The Fast Lane" by the Eagle, tone. I have a 410h on the way. Can't wait to plug it in.
I am looking into buying a new amp and I was looking at this one or a orange rockerverb mk2, and I'm trying to get a good rock and metal distortion from the amp Wich one is better
I've been playing through a cheap 100w Fender Frontman for years, but the thing just lacks so much bass and depth that I really want a big upgrade now. I feel like getting a 50w combo, because 100w is totally not necesary, and I want a Marshall. What do you guys recommend? I want to spend up to 1000 euro on it.
Dude, that's an entirely subjective question, how should anybody possibly answer that for you? Both are great amps. Go into a music store, test them and decide yourself which one you like better.
Also take into consideration that a Mesa will be much cheaper in the US and a Marshall cheaper in Europe, because you don't have to pay the bloody import taxes if you buy an amp in the region in which its made.
what is the best amp head for metal, that has both a clean and overdrive/distortion channel ( i dont really care how many channels, as long it has both)??
@MrCh33pshot cool, thanks man, i already have a solid state marshall dave mustaine and its pretty good but i wanna check out a tube amp, so ima search for some good deals with the mesa boogie....thanks again
great demo, idk why but I just hate all marshall amps... im really trying to like them... i just idk... i guess theyre too loose distortion, no decent clean (too saturated for me) and they kinda sound sloppy in higher gain, also they have looots of highs and not enough lows and mids for me, does anyone know a marshall that has more of what I'm looking for? Idc about price either, im probably going to buy a Diezel VH4 since I'm absolutly in love with them, but I wanna make sure I'm not missing a
@chandler513 It's true Marshalls aren't strong in the low mids. But if you listen to this one, for example, you'll notice the complex harmonics happening in the sound. It's very organic and exciting-sounding. 6505s and other hi-gain amps sound powerful, but the distortion is stompbox-like and flat. When you pair up with a bass player you'll have no problem with having as powerful of a sound as you want with Marshalls.
your playing is fcking awsome. how long do U practice each day and how long u been playing. proper sick licks, U can always tell a good guitar player from a novice
@TheTangentUK Thanks man! I don't practice much these days, have no time. I did put in a lot of practice as a teenager though. Several hours per day back then.
Yeah man, nice playing. A Marshall can sound as good or bad as its master tells it to. Marshall haters are idiots, i used to be one . . . . until i actually played one for the first time, then i realized what a douchebag i was for thinking i understood what they were about without having played one. Marshall puts a smile on my face and possess an authority no other amp does. People who talk bad on Marshall haven't used one or literally don't know how to play guitar.
@JamesNiskyMusic I've played lots of Marshalls and there hit and miss for me I tried out an original plexi and that was a dream put a tube screamer in front and it can do any style, but then I tried the JVM210 and it was shit, no gain even at high volumes and didn't work well with humbckers on cleans so I would say it's preference but there amps older than 20 years are all spectacular :)
Wow, thank you so much for this great demo. The amp does sound very nice and that guitar sounds and looks so nice. How would you compare it to a Fender Stratocaster (American Standard say) as far as playability, and single coil hum related inconveniences. Once again, very well done and immensely helpful.
can I play this amp in my room DUDE!! if you can afford this amp why would you want to play it in your room ?? if you can buy this amp you can rent a
Rehearsal space, turn it up, use it the way it was meant to be used PROFESSIONALLY like I said this is a professional series amp b.t.w. Dave Mustaine uses this amp- you think he plays it in his room?? common really?
@davidv155 you can always play something like this in a room but if you don't want the cops called on your ass i suggest get one 4 X 12 cab with this head. but its not really and amp made to be quiet since it has tubes. but it would still do the trick either way
I love this amp!!! Crisp cleans (even with humbuckers) and over the top distortion. Can't wait to get mine! Just a question though... What cab would you recommend for this head? I was thinking of going with a 1960.
@feo130 A local guy has the JVM410H and uses an Avatar Traditional 2x12 loaded with Celestion G12T-75s. I was surprised that he didn't get Vintage 30s or something (that I considered) "better". Then, I listened carefully at one of his gigs and realized that Marshall uses these speakers because they sound incredible. He's a LesPaul Standard player and plays Classic Rock, etc..

great skills, I'm a marshall fan too! sounds like SRV influenced. Have you tried a bbe sonic maximizer with your rig. you'll get lost in the sound. brings it to life.
I just bought a JVM205 head and will soon be buying a 1960a 4x12 cab. I need help of what cables ill need and what Ohms, mono, stereo etc to use!!!!!!!!
Hey robert, I realized in ur other videos that u have a squier tellie. I'm intrested in a certain squier, the california squier strat. I have my first guitar which is a lp special 2 epiphone which I added seymour duncan 59's in them but I want something else, which is the stratocaster and the price is around $190 in US dollars. should I get it? and the strat is not the fat strat.
hi i was originally looking at a mesa boogie roadster/road king II and i was wondering how does this amp stack up against them? i play mostly metalcore with very melodic cleans and insanely dark distortion. please get back to me on this
@Musicmaker703 well its really a lot of scales (all i know is minor, major, pentatonic and a couple of the modes) you can start by searching the up pentatonic, and the the chords well, if you look up the tabs on ultimateguitar(.com) for purple haze, the first chord in purple haze after the intro is the first chord in this video. then you have to get years of experience to put all of that together as good as this guy
Wow man ur awesome. Can you please tell me if this amp would sound good with an epiphone les paul and please tell me. i want an amp that gives me a rich tone for rocky blues and hard rock and screamin solos. Is this amp good for like eddie van halen slash from guns n roses acdc please tell me! Ur awesome :)
@ecgedsel I've got this amp too... and it's great for all kind of music. I have ephiphone les paul custom with seymour duncan (sh-4 sh-2) and push-pull knobs to split coils and it gives me really great sound possibilities with this amp. (cab which i use is 1960A). :)

Modern Marshall designs do everything half-ass and nothing really well.
Better cleans - Vox, Mesa, Fender
Better mid gain crunch - Ax84 home built amp (look it up online)
Better heavy - Diezel Herbert, Bogner Uberschall, Diezel VH4, Mesa Mark IV
Better leads - Mesa Mark IV, Diezel VH4
There is NOTHING that a Marshall amp is best at.

great skills, I'm a marshall fan too! sounds like SRV influenced. Have you tried a bbe sonic maximizer with your rig. you'll get lost in the sound. brings it to life.

@MartiniusMusic Yes, it is super nice at low volume. Really. Most people don't know that, it seems, but it sounds killer even at very low volume.

Hey robert, I realized in ur other videos that u have a squier tellie. I'm intrested in a certain squier, the california squier strat. I have my first guitar which is a lp special 2 epiphone which I added seymour duncan 59's in them but I want something else, which is the stratocaster and the price is around $190 in US dollars. should I get it? and the strat is not the fat strat.

hi i was originally looking at a mesa boogie roadster/road king II and i was wondering how does this amp stack up against them? i play mostly metalcore with very melodic cleans and insanely dark distortion. please get back to me on this

what does it take for a guy to play like that? iv been playing for 2yrs and been taking lessons any tips?
Musicmaker703 1 year ago
@Musicmaker703 well its really a lot of scales (all i know is minor, major, pentatonic and a couple of the modes) you can start by searching the up pentatonic, and the the chords well, if you look up the tabs on ultimateguitar(.com) for purple haze, the first chord in purple haze after the intro is the first chord in this video. then you have to get years of experience to put all of that together as good as this guy

thanks man for demoing this with a strat everbody else demos it with a les paul and stuff, great playing by the way

Can you dislike the people who disliked this video?
I wish ignorant people knew how to keep their mouths shut, but if they did we wouldn't have the saying "empty cans make the most noise."
Awesome playing. Awesome STRAT TONE. Very, very nice sounding amp. I'm jealous, but I still like this.

@ecgedsel I've got this amp too... and it's great for all kind of music. I have ephiphone les paul custom with seymour duncan (sh-4 sh-2) and push-pull knobs to split coils and it gives me really great sound possibilities with this amp. (cab which i use is 1960A). :)
