In response to the accusations of wolf lovers being ignorant, I admit that some are. I also admit that wolves kill brutally, and are not creatures you want to meet up close in the wild. However, in a lot of ways they remind me of humans. We kill, we are co-dependent on one another, we can be loyal (and shift our loyalties to new leaders), we have hierarchies (whether we like it or not), etc. Creation can be beautiful and ugly. Just like wolves and men can both be beautiful and ugly.
@martianbunny wolves don't kill humans though. but if a human attempts to kill a wolf, the wolf be be threatened and then attempt to kill the human for its own safety...
Wolves are certainly beautiful creatures and humans are ruining their homes and hunting their family's. If i was a wolf and someone was threatening me i would defiantly attack.

This being said, dogs as we think of it were once wolves or wild dogs before they were domesticated, but your dog is a domesticated animal.

@DemonFoxFangs Wrong actually! I've worked with wolves and I can tell you they are far from a dog. They have different body language and are smarter than dogs. Some biologists did a study on wolves vs dogs (I cant remember what the show was called) but they concluded that wolves are far from dogs through various tests. Dogs rely on humans for guidance and view them as part of the pack, wolves almost never accept humans as they're own.
if you hurt or kill a wolf the only thing you would remember when you got up would be the bite and claw marks on your neck and wrists..... (thats if you do get up...)

Didn't you learn anything from the Yellowstone experiment? Predator no longer decide "to starve" themselves to death. They move to domestic animals, like my dogs, and the neighbors farm animals. Hunters keep larger animals in check, have been doing it for 200 years now. And when you protest hunting, that's when you do the most damage to the ecosystem. Novelty ONLY! They serve no purpose in the 20.21st century. Keep them in Canada and Alaska where people can hunt them & keep wolves in check!
Actually, if you remove wolves, deer populations rise too quickly. Then the deer run out of food quicker because not only do they have more deer but more farmers and ranchers will want to occupy an area with less wolves. Thus, the food supply is also limited. Then that would mean more animals, and not just deer, competing for the same resources. Thus, that entire ecosystem is thrown into chaos without wolves.

I like their fur, it's really warm. Each one of my kids, 3 and 4, have a pelt from Alberta Canada. They love them. They are getting good at coyote howling too.
