i went to nicaragua on december 25 2009 and came back janurary 2 and june 8 2010 ands came back the 18 and a littel trouble in the airport of nicaragua. oh and i went to miamis internacionals airport to go to american arlines. oh and you should go to the malls of nicaragua and the beaches. and im from america and nicaragua and colombia and venezuela . i love nicaragua. and nicaragua again on december 2010.

ahhkainis there are Nicaraguans who look Filipino and there are others who look Yugoslav, German, Italian, French, Jew, etc. But there are others who look different than european, asian and latin americans; Nicaraguan people are basically very mix and usually since Nicaraguans are very mix, they tend to be less racist than other people, sheers man.

the best part is that half of costa rica (the richest part, guanacaste) was nicaraguan territory less than 90 years ago and nowadays you say that you costa ricans own the san juan and that nicaragua is the worse country ever, thats why we niaraguans don´t like costa ricans

I wrote that costa ricans don't like Nicaraguans, because many of them want Nicaragua erased from the map, many of them have too much hate, my parents are Nicaraguans, and my parents don't even mention costa ricans, and most of the people I knew from Nicaragua didn't even mention the costa ricans, the way I see it, is the costa ricans who are always talking about Nicaraguans and saying how bad Nicaraguans are.

I love Nicaragua, I´ve been to Costa Rica, Panama, El Salvador, they all have something to offer and also puverty to hide, the bad things about these ¨other¨ places is that if you sound foreighner then you pay the extra buck for just anything. In Nicaragua, people are much human and they put their honesty first and don´t put out their hand for a ¨TIP¨ In Costa Rica, at a 4 star hotel the first time we went to the bar we got a good service the second time since we didn´t tip b4, went to shit.

scret it's true; Nicaragua was the most prosperous country in C.A. and many countries in the region didn't like us, because we were growing tremendously, our economy was very solid and our way of life was great, for more than 300 yrs. Nicaragua was the most prosperous country of C.A., when the earthquake occurred like u said the entire city of Managua got destroyed, I'm pretty sure many C.A. including Mexico were happy.

I agree to an extent. Tourism is actually the best thing we have right now. Many of these "tourist resorts" and such give back to the people and community. What i am against are white men and women buying our property! I say go fuck over Costa Rica more, and go retire in Panama, but in Nicaragua.. the less the better in my opinion.

Is Costa Rica that Americanized now? I have a chance to go to either Costa Rica or Nicaragua next year. I want the real thing...hate fake resort BS..which is why i liked Guatemala. So would I enjoy Nicaragua more than Costa Rica if I want an authentic experience?

Costa Rica has resorts, and their budget for advertising tourism is way higher than that of Nicaraguas. Nicaraguas annual budget is low, they don't have many touristy resorts, especially outside of the capital. If you want adventurous type fun, i suggest Nicaragua, however, Costa Rica is a nice country, but i think its more fit to Tourists who just like the whole resort thing, but they also do have nice beaches, and rainforest type packages.

I tend to agree with LaNicoya. Costa Rica has a substantial tourist budget, but that doesn't mean it's overrun with tourists. However, Nicaragua is decidedly more authentic and cheaaper and simply more aauthentic.

Me too! lol. If your into nature i suggest you visit: La Selva Negra, Ometepe, Bosawas, La Flor Reserve and... Corn Islands :) Nothing beats which sand beached with beautiful clear blue water and good chinese food on the Carribean coast.
