European trucks use synchronized transmissions, Volvo 12 spd, Scania 12 spd,Iveco 16 spd, Mercedes 16 spd, Daf 16 spd.

Volvo, has 2 extra low gears

Mostly they are 16 spd (MAN,DAF etc.), Scanias are 12 spd (reverse non incl.). All new ones have sinc gearbox.

I had a DAF XF for a few years, great truck , superb space..... but they always seem gutless compared to other same BHP wagons I have driven. I gotta FH480 now same BHP as my old DAF but the volvo just pulls better , seems to have more spunk :).

@oscarfish38 Volvo trucks are alweys bether then Daf :P Daf leaks water, and the gear is not so good, my dad drives a daf now and he says its nothing compared to a good volvo. But yea, amazing space inside of an daf :D
