@EdisPro1337 well as band stuff go it doesn't really matter just practice alot i guess and stuff i don't really have that good of advice because i myelf do not practice alot at all hahaha Best thing to do is liten to alot of different types of music, jazz, blugrass(instumental), celtic, african, flaminco, samba, gypsy, metal, classical, ect. best thing to be is diverse in what you listen to and not single minded.

I'm mostly into Thrash, but listen to every single type of metal. Bit of southern rock, some Steve Vai, the softer stuff. In the rock realm, but mainly in metal.
My biggest guitar influence is mr Jeff Waters of Annihilator. I'd kill to be able to meet him in person.

@JACKWRIGHTISBORED Oh, alright dude. Makes me feel better, lol. I try and practice for several hours a day, but some days I'm just not feeling it and just run through warm ups, and songs I know and don't really get any new things in.

Any tips you wanna give out? I've been playing for almost a year and I'm NOWHERE near as good as that.... any band's stuff I should look into?

@EdisPro1337 well as band stuff go it doesn't really matter just practice alot i guess and stuff i don't really have that good of advice because i myelf do not practice alot at all hahaha Best thing to do is liten to alot of different types of music, jazz, blugrass(instumental), celtic, african, flaminco, samba, gypsy, metal, classical, ect. best thing to be is diverse in what you listen to and not single minded.

@Megadirt67 holy shit, so much progress only after a year? can you estimate an average "hours per day"? scientists say to become a pro at something you have to have spent 10000 hours practicing the craft. a year would make it 27 out of 24 hours a day )
