  • I read it had no side effects, went on creatine and I got a hit of anxiety/panic or something on the second and third night. I also got a sore stomach and diarrhea on the third night (the loading phase). I stopped and it all went away, googled creatine and anxiety and sure enough, there were others with the same results. I reckon don't "load" creatine, just a scoop a day would be more than enough unless you're a bigtime bodybuilder.

  • @Koyukonn if you're getting diarrhea you're taking more than your body can absorb even if loading, if you have anxiety and/or cramps take in more water

  • i have to disagree with the water part when on it i took the same amount of water except i kept getting cramps and stuff it just wasn't good so around 6 pints a day is the best or a little more and the cramps would go

  • No side effects. not really i also have a degree in exercise science and i have take Creatine good stuff but it has side effects. It is just like anything else.. you give the body to much of something for too long and you cause problems.what he said was right.. but creatine has a warning label. if you dont cycle off creatine like you are instructed to you will damage your liver, kindney and GI tract. And expect your muscle to deflate once your off. just follow the instrutions and it should be ok

  • @pker5oo0 no, the muscle itself has more energy/strength/endurance, i get 4 more reps benching for example while taking creatine, it will cause joint pain and/or tears if you really push to your limits and build strength and muscle fast since it helps you progress faster with your muscles than your joints can keep up with

    if you have joint issues which isnt likely take glucosamine and/or chondroitin to improve fluidity in joints

  • @christophela i think what u said at 5:05 could be wrong, like our bodies are use to dealing with testorone too but too much of it can cause HP-axis suppression etc... am not sure tho i will try and get back to u from a pharmacokinetic point of view at some point #pharmacy student

  • @AdverbAdjective: It's not as simple as that. As I said, you need to research it. There's no regulation on what percentage of creatine various products can contain. The numbers are extremely high on some of them. Too much creatine and not enough fluids can damage your kidneys. This is an absolute fact. My circumstances were more complicated than i could (or would) explain on a YouTube forum. Let's just say "do your homework", and leave it at that.

  • I took creatine years ago, and I thought it was a miracle. 7 years ago I had a kidney removed due to cancer. You need to research the side-effects better. The simple logic of "your body creates it so it must be all right" is fallacious. Your body creates alll kinds of chemcals. That doesn't mean that having one of those chemicals in excess is harmless. You have to take quantity into consideration. Do yourself a favor, guys, and do some research of your own before you commit to this stuff.

  • @AceSkepTik very true i had kidney failure started taking protein with creatine in it to get my body back to how it was prior to the kidney failure while working out, and when i got checked out my doctor kicked me off of it because it was doing more damage, with all the creatinin and proteins i was dumping out through my urine. everybody is different though so youre right before you take it simply research it and make sure it works for you and doesnt harm you. glad youre better btw

  • @webstertrakz yes, you should cycle creatine, for example 4 weeks on 4 off, 6 weeks on 2 off, etc.., different people do slightly different cycles but thats the general pattern, i do 4-6 weeks on 2-3 off usually myself and take 2.5-5 grams a day while on i dont do a loading phase if you ever hear about that

  • Creatine is not dangerous if you use 8-10 gr daily. You must drink 3.5-5 L water per day when you use creatin and that s it. If you have high blood pressure don t use this stuff.

    From what I've read (and heard here), creatine should be taken with a juice to spike insulin. If I take it directly after a workout at the start of a 25-30 min window, is it fine to take a protein shake of protein and water at the end of this window? Will the creatine have been absorbed by then, or will the take up of water dilute it and I end up pissing it out?

Go research im just one of those rare people that are allergic to it
