It is so rare to find an individual who year after year works tirelessly, taking nerve-wracking risks, fighting bureaucratic inertia, finding scarce financing - and for what? For the well-being of a single species. How many of us have looked around and noticed the dwindling numbers of species around us? It's a long road back from the brink of extinction. This man is leading a way. A viable way.
It is Ironic Trevor evans is conservationist of the year. The guy has very little knowledge of Quolls,as do NSW NPWS whom he is a lacky for. Sorry to tell you but Eastern Quoll are not extinct on mainland,there is a population south of Eden,and the information he provided to the RIRDC report was pathetic. Eastern Quolls will be kept by private enthusiasts soon, the hierarchy of NSW parks and wildlife will be jobless soon and your tax free status revoked.The act is open. GOODBYE GREENIES!
