whast the point of a 442 of it isint the original power train, maybe the posi trac is a ok upgrade and a few other things but the actual engine idk its just not a 442.
when he got the car it had a 307 with 3.08's "rear end was swapped before he got it" with a crappy 2004R. In this video the car had the 3.08's and a TH200c and #8 heads on the 350. we later installed 3.23 LSD and a THM 350 and #6 heads to up the CR to 9.4
no way man just get a great exhaust system with glass packs jack the rear a bit put rally wheels on throw out that quadra jet replace with a holley 4 barrel with holley manifold and you should be sitting pretty and be able to blow those rice burners off of the road
Your remark sounded real hickish.Even with all of what you said,he will still have problems keepeing up with a stock nissan altima coupe with the 290 hp v6,or many other,what you call,rice burners.Oh,try to be less inbred next time.
If it is a 442, it already has 3.73's. It is an 85 or later. If it is an 86, it only will have the 7A heads which are utter crap (the 5A's aren't much better, but at least they can flow a bit).
i have an 85 olds 442 with a 455 in it it has a comp cams cam edelbrock intake and holley carb i just did a burnout yester day that has to be seriously at least 30 yards in length and i barely tried the next burnout is def going to be on youtube but i have to tell ya you need to either ditch that motor or do some major work to it
i have a olds just like this ,but i took the 307 out and started to rebuild it but now i am selling it and looking for a 455 olds , 68 year . there's just no after market parts to get power out of the 307 . i want my olds to shake the ground when i start it , and it will :)
This car has a 73 350. This video was shot with the low compression #8 73 heads. I have since changed over to a milled set of #6 for an extra point or so of compression and changed out the crappy carb that was on there. The next video will be better I think. Yes, I have a line-lock, and that in that video I didn't even go above 2500 RPMS.

Hmmm, my 86 is all original with 31,000 and is the 307 HO, but it does more than that. R U sure thats a 350??
