so if you're born in winter you're a waterbender, spring for earthbender, summer for firebender and autumn for an airbender?? that's totally absurd..

@JiLLhimeSaMa because when it is winter in the northern hemisphere, it is summer in the southern hemisphere. the seasons are the opposite in the north to the south. so would it then be spring is aribender for southern hemisphere or would it still be spring is earthbender?

@IceStormGale, isnt bending just manipulation of the elements. you could just take away air from an area. is i could do waterbending i would drown someone, if i coulld do firebending i would do the lightning thing azula does and if i did esrth bending i would go all Gaara on peoples asses, lols.

@MrDreamblade Sure, you can do all those other things with the other elements, but Airbenders can't airbend that way. Airbending has to do with the flow of air. If you consider science as well as Aang's moves in the show, it isn't possible to completely remove the air from anywhere.

And I think Gaara is one of those Sandbenders from Avatar. Naruto just stole him and made him scary looking, lol.

Not just air, fire too and water. I don't need to explain fire but bending the water in their body they can fly, like when katara fought hama, as hama blood bended her she was hovering off the ground.

I totally agree and I love the style of Kung-Fu they use for it, Ba Gua. I didn't know that type of Martial Arts existed until I watched Avatar. I like all the styles they chose for the bending arts in the show but my favorite one is Ba Gua.
