You must mean or at least be including Caucuses, right? I think there are cases where stats's rights are important but when it comes to electing a president, I say just go by popular vote period. What say you?

Good for you. The 37 though is off. There are a handful at most states where if you are not registered as Dem or Rep, you CAN NOT vote in a primary. I, in FL, was turned away once years ago, taht is how I learned of this absurdity. Keep surfing!

Further point, while I dont know all the positions Dems take, by far I agreed with all the ones I was aware of. I can see why they might be for an Amnesty program but this was the first major issure I learned about that made me reconsider accepting them as a whole. Now I am registered Dem just so in FL I can vote in primaries and not be turned away. At heart though I am a Centrust/ist. Also baffling is how John McSame can be anti-terrorist yet pro-Amnesty given all the illegal felons, etc.

Disappointing comment. Most Americans R4 the basic building of fence 2 define & secure our borders. Would you have them all leave the country now? And the virtual fence "FIXED contract" system has been tried now three times and each time the technology isnt ready. If I owned a home I think I would have a fence around it. McCain might go for Amnesty and if the 2 houses get stacked with Dems I suppose Billary and even Obama might too but that is not the will of the people because DUMB.

For over 42 years I was a registered republican and contributed to the RNC,I switched to independent because I see that big money controls both and untill enough people leave and switch to independent the rich will get richer and the working man and women will continue to see there take home pay get smaller...they ruined any hope for a 3rd party ,,your thinking falls inline with them the 2 party...unless your a super delagate why bother voting in the primary?

Half-truths and quarter-truths...that's what the media excels at, and Lou Dobbs isn't much better than the rest. Case in point, almost 2 wks before you posted this (Nov 2nd) Benazir Bhutto stated plainly that Osama Bin Laden was murdered by Omas Sheikf. Who told you about this (in the MSM)? Why wont they tell you that PUBLIC ENEMY #1 may be dead? Ms Bhutto lived 55 days after giving us this, why didn't anyone do any REPORTING?

I resolve this year to listen less to the likes off CNN and I am off Dobbs completely. At first I thought he was special, not I see him much differently. He is too self-interested and used his broadcast to get voters to give up their rights! At least let's do the primary thing, then we can vote again any which way we want. I am more into Keith on MSNBC now but will start reading political blogs, etc. instead of dumbing myself out to TV.

I just discovered the Iowa exception last week. That part of their bizarre method should become the model? Switching parties the night of the primary, cool! Too much of my facts from CNN, & they always just mention an exception in one state and pretty sure it is a NE state like Virginia or other. Thanks for the note. Finally begins a chance to get a country back, to get our respect back, to regain pride so when we say we are the best this and that in the world it will ring true again.

NH, Yes, that is familiar,... Yep, just Googled it. Also saw a few states where you dont even register and just have to show residency, hmm. Maybe Dobbs isnt messing things up as much as he wants. I was for Ron Paul until I heard him answer a few questions lately about his Libertarian views and his answers didnt do it for me. I dont see hope there anymore nor does my son who is 21 and will vote for first time soon.

He can still promote an independent guy/gal B4 general election. What UR registered as ONLY MATTERS for PRIMARIES. I loved Dobbs until he pulled this stunt and doesnt explain. He has said 1X or twice they cant vote in primaries but then shruggs it off.
