  • I am very familiar with this music, and feel that this is a magnificent performance that is hampered by the sound engineering. The baritone soloist sounds flat and without his natural dimension. I must admit to having stumbled upon this, and I have no idea of the source or the performers. Wonderful music, and most appreciated on YouTube! Thanks...

  • It was so great to find this on youtube! I am the Baritone soloist, and am wondering if you also have the first and fourth movements? I would love to hear them! Do you know if this performance was recorded? If it was, do you have any idea how I would go about getting a copy of the recording? Thank you so much!

  • @johngreenbaritone

Hello John, I just uploaded the 1st and 4th mvt. I do think the music school has the recording. You should check with them. And let me know if you get a copy!

  • Does this clip ever start? :)

  • Very nice playing. Love how Vauaghan-Williams wrote such evocative music to Walt Whitman's poetry. And yes, those powerful brass chords toward the end were played majestically as indicated in the score (Maestoso).

  • Who is the conductor?

  • Why could not the long silence in the beginning be edited out? Beautiful brass playing.

  • Thank you for sharing this...who are the performers, and where are the first and fourth movements? :)
