This brings back so many "wonderful" memories.....I sure can relate to this song, and Todd's work....He has inspried me so much....This song still makes me feel
young.......Thanks so much for sharing this talented musician's piece! :0)
Todd was greatly influenced by Broadway Show tunes, especially those of Gilbert and Sullivan. Lord Chancellor's Nightmare on the album Todd also showcases his infatuation as well as his own penned Elpees Worth of Toons. Reading the book A Dream Goes On Forever really helps give you insight into Todd's glory years. Hard to fathoom how much he did in the 70s alone. Prolific is an understatement. What a genius. Thanks for the memories.
My friend Kenny and I went the entire week. Great club, but no more. Todd was incredible along with the Hello People and a very young Kasim. Those were the days. $7 ticket prices and an incredible show. And we always met the greatest Todd fans. Happy to say we still do ,after all these years. Thanks for posting.
That footage is a treasure. Todd was such a young wunderkind back then. The abilities he had as a producer, engineer, songwriter, guitar player, AND performer were just so unusual in one so young..........all of those skills were so matured in him and to think he was only in his early twenties.
Whoa . . . The Bottom Line & TODD! I was attending SVA when this show took place. Brilliant memories! Yeah! Seven bucks a pop, now thirty bucks & up. Thank you for posting this, Mojon Risen 74 ~ (•8-D
I used to listen to the live CD of the Roxy and hear this song, and have a romanticized image of Todd doodling on the piano while singing it. Seeing as it's the identical piano arrangement from that album, it looks like he wasn't playing it after all. Oh well. Still one of my favorite todd things to listen/see
