I am a guy and not too many guys out there will admit this but I was sexually molested and brutally raped my entire childhood. More times than I could ever count I was either near dead or suicidal while growing up. It all started when I was 4 years old. The hell lasted for me for 17 years and ended when I was 21 years old :sad:

I believes shame and guilt have no place in the healing process and in particular "getting past child sexual abuse" as the video is titled. Shame, guilt and judgement are counter productive to moving forward and healing. Also, I know (firsthand) that sexual offenders and perpetrators exist - no denial here! When a person is sick in this way, they are manipulative and cunning and pick their prey well. The women in the video was a double victim in my opinion.

It's so sad. And I hate it so much. So many of us turn to religion after this shit. God doesn't fucking exist people. You need to face what they did to us without some sad little illusion. I did. It hurts, but at least it's not a lie. There is no god. The world is a place filled with great, twisting, sadness, and great joy.

allinaday...I was sexually abused by a stepfather years ago ...I only wish one time that my mother put her arms around me and told me she loved me......you began the healing process for your children the moment you did that...I am now 50 years old ...my mom 74 and she will still not talk about i and the same with my brother and sister....it hurts so bad.......even worse than the abuse...double betrayal.

In the Middle East they get rid of men who do this. Why is America giving these men who are crazy beyond repair two years in jail or less? Is our justice system possibly empathetic/sympathetic to them? What is even more sick is the victims who drown their memories in booze and drugs that are put in jail for much longer than their abusers.

thumbs down on this one allinaday, the other video(A True Story Of Child Sexual Abuse - For Adults) is fairly good . I have an aunt just like this woman, her children were abused and all she seems to care about is herself. there is a lot she could have done to help the kids besides cry and write poems. That little boy is going to need serious help to become a man and all he is learning from mom is how to be a victim and to feel sorry for himself.

Thank you for your comment. You have to understand that movies are made for target audiences and specific purposes. This one was made to help people dealing with their abuse as a child. It is very successfully used by national organizations trying to help people. It does not fit every need. And the woman speaking in this film, stopped crying, built an organization to help others, and is today, a success.

Plenty of paedophiles seduce their victims and the courts apply for a rape charge because the under-age girl or boy does not have the right to consent. We have an age limit for sex to occur for a reason. It is not acceptable for a 17 year old to have sex with a 14 year old under-age child.
