  • I think this prelude is sometimes nicknamed the "butterfly". Paul your performance captures the essence of this short piece. btw [just a small point!]: The pedal is meant to sustain each detached left hand chord. The rest is physiological only. Chopin's autograph manuscript makes this crystal clear.

  • @gerardbedecarter Actually, it's "The Night Moth". Just saying.

  • @TheDarkblueFlow .... oops!!!

  • Your question is not directed to me but you will not be angry if I answer it. The short answer is : "yes". In some ways Schumannn was the greatest of them all. His melodies soar. People always say: "Play me some Chopin", never "Play me some Schumann". Schumann's Kreisleriana contains some of the most wonderful of all Schumann's music. It was dedicated to Chopin. Chopin was reprortedly rather cool towards Schumann's music. Artistic rivalry, perhaps ?!

  • OOooooh Paul this is great!!!!!! I'm amazed! too beautiful!!! but too short! 5*****!!!
