How do you switch gears while doing a burnout without linelock? It seems almost impossible to smash in the clutch to change gears and then get it back to the brake fast enough to keep the car from rolling.

@MrLuos402 Ahh.. That was my guess. My Mustang GT has no line lock, so i guess i'm limited to first gear burnouts for now. Although, i might force myself to learn how to do it without linelock. @MrLuos402 The way I used to switch gears without linelock is I would hold my right foot sideways, heel on the gas and toes on the brake and obviously use my left foot to push the clutch in. Takes a little bit to get used to and I have a size 13 foot so that probably helped a bit lol.

@NelsonSavage You could do the heel-toe technique. Keep your heel on the brake with your foot side ways so your toes are on the gas as well. Then you can pull your toes up without letting off the brakes and push the clutch with the other foot.

I'll then do a T56 swap (6 speed manual) When i drop the LS6 in. After that my goal is to put a STS kit on it and have the first 3rd gen camaro to have a STS turbo ls6 in it.

In the video, it was on ProKit springs. Since upgraded to Strano springs. Sits a very small amount higher now. Huge difference in how the car feels though on the Stranos...much better.

I race at Bandimere in Denver, Colorado. It is the slowest track in the country because of the altitude. Normally N/A cars are about a full second slower up here.

Gone 11.90 at 117.3MPH here.

I think it would be a 10 second car at sea level...with it getting some good air.

thats chevrolet rearends for you they never made one worth a shit, either weld the spider gears on this rearend ,2 wheel peels all the time but good luck turning a corner, or you could just get a 9 inch ford rearend with tracion lok posi system.

It is a T56.

Basicly the same tranny the Viper gets, main difference is a few parts are a little more beefed up in the Viper.

It is just a stout tranny. Although I don't expect it to last forever. lol

I also don't powershift it and I make sure the clutch is set-up perfectly so it doesn't stress the tranny.

There are cars in the 10's with the stock T56. Search youtube for a video titled "My Trans Am"

The T-56 is indeed a stout tranny. Along with Vipers and F-bodies, it was also used in the 03-04 Mustang Cobras, 97-07 Vettes, Aston Martin's, Pontiac GTO, and the Australian Holden cars.

Though its new predecessor the Tremec TR-6060 is unbelievably strong also. Stock, its rated up to 600 ftlbs of torque. The 5th gen Camaro SS's, Dodge Challengers and Pontiac G8 uses it.

Tremec makes damn good gear boxes.

Borg-Warner did in fact design the T-56 tranny and made them from 1992 till 1997. From 1998-2008 it was built by Tremec. It was replaced in 2009 by the Tremec TR-6060 which is based on the T-56 design but built with better alloys and handles more HP and Torque. All the LS1 equipped 6-speed F-body's (98-02) were the Tremec's, while the previous LT1's were bolted to Borg-Warners. C5 Corvettes, 03-05 Ford SVT Cobra Mustangs and 92-07 Dodge Vipers all used the T-56 tranny as well.

He drives it down with just enough fuel to do about 4 or 6 runs, then puts in just enough to get back home. and every 2 weeks he gets under the car and cleans it. not with a lift either, its with jackstands...thats dedication right there lol
