maybe just maybe ill get back on my journey ... at present i laugh at all the crap i used to do for length but a year n a half after my bc n only two inches of growth makes me wanna get back on d wagon. ur buns r beautiful!
@Loneekay there's a lil something to this online hair growing stuff...it ain't ALL legit, but there's a lotta great info & pics to prove it out there! hang in there we'll get you where you wanna be! thank you!
That video was so helpful to me, could you do a video on your less bunning more trimming regimen? I have sort of come to the same conclusion myself and I would love some help x
what a great way to track hair growth using a t-shirt and a marker to draw a line and marking the date and lenght of the hair. Im going to have to do that
Do you have a tutorial on the hairstyle you're sporting on 7:08? If not, can you tell me what's its name so I can look it up? PLEASE! It's really cute!
@MegaMG76 that's not a personal questions at all!!! :) my wedding was 10 years ago...i was relaxed then...i suppose i could've put a pic of my wedding hair in the timeline. just look at the pictures notated between 2000 & 2001 you you can get an idea of what my hair was like back then....straight, blunt, straight, and did i mention STRAIGHT!!
[i threw some curls on the top of my STRAIGHT for my wedding though]
please do a tutorial on the hairstyle that you did at 7:04 into your video...I love that style, please please please please! oh yeah, you did a great job on this video.
@Boyhead1973 yes i know that hair is always growing which is why i put stop in quotes in the video. my hair was breaking as fast as it was growing...once i realized that, i changed my routine and thus my hair began "growing" again...
Wow. What an incredible journey. Your hair seemed pretty healthy from your college years on. I understand feeling like you were stuck at one hair length for the longest. When I came home for breaks from college, my stylist would cut my hair right back up to grazing shoulder length. It bothered me to no end. I decided to transition and now I'm trying my hand at trimming/cutting. I'm going to use your suggestion and trim 3-4 times/year. Can you do a tutorial or how you trim please?
After watching this video I realized that my hair also does best in low manipulation, and not necessarily protective styles. The greatest length I achieved when I was relaxed was before I even knew what protective styling was. And the greatest length I achieved while transitioning was when I didn't focus on protective styles!
@Star192977 my hair is the same way. i found that protective styles [specifically bunning] chew up the ends of my hair causing it to break as fast as it grows - as you saw in the video!
my hair may respond differently to protective styling now that i'm natural, but i'm not going to find out lol
@MissBelleMuse hi! this hair style was discussed in video #70...i didn't do a tutorial, but explained what i did to achieve it. there is a great video response to this video where the vlogger shows what she did.
thanks so much for watching, sis! and thank you for the well wishes!!!
@TotallyTyra i did too :) my hair was much longer then AND it was straight...maybe in a year or so when my hair's longer AND straightened i can try to re-create it :)
WOW man you almost made me cry! LOL This was a lovely journey! Its so odd seeing you with straight hair in those relaxer picts LOL Knowledge is power and when we know better (relaxed or natural) we do better. thanks for sharing your journey!
@missthis897 lol when people come to the house & look at the pics on the walls n such they always comment on the straight hair...when in fact, it's the natural hair that's new! LOL i feel that i never "grew" into my hair until i went natural i can do SO much more with it! not sayin that i will never straighten, cause i LURVE me some silky straight! i'm just enjoying the newness :)
& that is one of my FAVORITE quotes! when you know better you DO better!
@yomibolo1 thanks so much! someone actually requested this a while ago and I just got around to recording footage of my skincare routine. Hopefully I can get it all edited & posted this month!
Please, can you do a tutorial of style at 2:7 - 2:10?
