"broken branches trip me as i speak." maybe he meant they hinder u from believing, for the trees in the end of the video captures poor Thom and changes him into one of them for misery loves company. But The most striking thing was he wasn't attacked until he found those clothes that gave him power, 4 when the crows was chasing him he gained speed but outside influences(the trees) snatched the boots off and he was powerless and became stuck and the crows finally caught up.

i love this video simply because of the stop motion animation. it reminds me of ralph the mouse with the intricacies of their society. it's really fascinating. and the overall movements york has with his body really suggest he's apart of the environment and not just some asshole standing in front of a green screen.
