I have both. They're both good. Far Cry 2 is a excellent shooter with amazing graphics, and sometimes annoying realism. Fallout 3 is one of the best games I've ever played. I pick Fallout for the win, but FC 2 is still good.

I played both. Played FarCry 2 all the way through about 3 times since it came out. Fallout 3 I played for about 5 hours, got bored and uninstalled. Tried Fallout 3 again, played for 5 hours and then got bored and uninstalled. Some people would prefer Fallout 3 but to me the world was too boring and the gameplay was far too slow. Movement around the DC area was also way too restricted. Hated using the subway all the time.

oh god, lets clarify this here, fps=first person shooter, rpg=role playing game, fallout is both and for those crying out loud that it is 3rd person too it is but it was meant to be played in fps they just added the 3rd person view later on so you could see around and see what you look likeand i played both games and was quiet let down by fallout3 (being a fallout 2 fan) but i would say that fallout 3 is better but that far cry is worth trying out too, especially the fire is awesome.

Fallout:3 Severely lacking in single player campeign but the special weapons and armor will leave you searching for days on end trying to find them to kill everyone and the 5 Dlc for the game makes it actualy better than the main story just for the gear they are amazing so if you prefer searching for items so you can kill everything then go for Fallout 3 (P.S) ADD A FUCKING MULTIPLAYER BETHESDA!

I take my time to travel around the game world and blow shit up. Well, yeah Call of Duty and Far Cry are not the same. Actually they are really different. Call of Duty is full of chaos and neverending action, when in Far Cry 2 you can relax and continue whenever you want. So I guess you shouldn't try to compare these 2 games
