back in the day when we had our muscle car era, europe was driving all small little cars and we were laughin at them in our SS454 chevelles and such. if we never got into that and did wat europe did and produced small, fuel efficient, envoirnmentally friendly cars then yes perhaps the ozone would have many assholes. but like i said, this is america, and people want performance, and luxury. and they have every right to it.

how bout everytime your air conditioner leaks, that kills the enviorment because of the chlorine in it. if your ac is a few years old, chances are your runnin R22. thats HCFC 22. HydroChloroFlouroCarbon. so are you gas guzzling haters gonna start saying air conditioning is unessesary so people shouldnt have them? the ac in my house is set at 65 all summer. sorry guys its the society we live in.

thats Jap vs. us engineering for you. Tahoe has needed several alternators, fuel pump, oil pump, water pump. squeaks nd rattles. etc etc. but served us very well. Trips to the shore every year with luggage and people. trips to our mountain house every weekend with cargo and luggage. great for when my mom has to drive to work in a snow storm because of its capabilitys and great ABS system. the Vortec 5.7 pushing 255 hp @ 330 Ftlbs. plenty of power, awesome truck, but like i said we needed it

Also served as an awesome grocery getter while my mom drove it. she now drives a prius by the way.. I dont care what you have to say about the prius because you prob dont know wat your talking about. hers is an 05 and we have no complaints. beautiful roomy and quiet on the inside, gas milage that can only be beaten by a motorcycle, hasnt been back to dealer for any problems, only for oil changes. 100K miles on the ORIGINAL BRAKES.

are you jealous because you have a piece of shit car. what could you not like about a full size, 4 wheel drive half ton truck with all types of luxury options, and a top of class Vortec 5.3? cool it guzzles gas. somethings you have to sacrifice when you have the need to haul cargo, trailers, or people in anykind of weather on or off road. Its a great truck in my eyes. I drive a 96 tahoe with 132,000K, family bought it new in 96. Unstopable in snow and very roomy and powerful. Thanks Chevy.

ok buddy heres the thing, people dont buy offroad packages to go offroading everyday with their families, but they dont just take them to work, home and soccer. people with boats and 5 kids for example would need the towing capacity and the seating room. furthermore, the offroad chassis actually has other features such as roll prevntion, which keeps al four wheels planted in an instence when a driver loses control. oh, and have fun with the OnStar in your volvo.

Hey TeensAreNotChildren, thats great that your Insight does everything YOU need and gets 70mpg. My '04 Tahoe does everything I need. It tows boats for my job, carries 2 70lb+ dogs, takes me and 3 friends with all our gear camping in the mountains, and 7 people out to the bar in 1 vehicle. Send me a video of your Insight towing a 3ton boat up a mountain pass or making it up a muddy logging road before you tell me I don't need a 15mpg vehicle.

First of all my truck is Diesel, which is by far more fuel efficient and cleaner than gas, second, the batteries in hybrids are extremely harmul to make, can't recycle them, and they don't go efficient for more than 50K

You're right. I don't have to tow anything. Neither do those soccer moms in the Suburbans or Tahoes I see. That's who REALLY drive SUVs. For the record,I drive a Volvo. Which is one of the safest cars on the road. Unlike a Tahoe which is classified as a "light truck" so it doesn't have to have many safety features in it. But I suppose I'm not a "real American" because it doesn't get 11 mpg and isn't driven by cowboys.
