Gearbox software is my second favorite game company. They ported Halo to the PC, they made Borderlands, --insert third achievement here-- and now, they're bringing back that bubblegum-chewing, ass-kicking badass by finishing what 3dRealms started almost 13 years ago. They're putting DNF to shelves in 2011.

Dammit, i wish I had gone to the Penny Arcade Expo, they even had playable demos of what's done on DNF so far!

To bad they didnt relese this one even if its.. a thin story and would have failed as Blood2 did.This game really need the static meshes to look good in all resolutions,since you can see the failiure already here.Orginal Duke was made to be played in 320x200 all texures was made for that resolution and as such added to the game.As seen here textures didnt make it and really adds a feeling of not completed.My opinion and Im right in this period.

gameduct's right. The game was never finished, and this version was abandoned so that they could upgrade the engine. when they did that they had to scrap pretty much everything. they rebuilt it, and then did it again

And on 3D realms theres lots of stuff about Duke forever, like.... script of what they have in plan for us.

it was never meant to come out on any console. Only PC. When Take-two bought the publishing rights, they wanted to make a console version AFTER it was released for the PC and up until over a month ago when 3dR laid off all their DNF workers, that was still the plan. There were OTHER games that were supposed to be made for console after DNF but with DNF never finishing, that never happened either. And according to the contract, DNF still has a chance until 2012.....yeah right hahahaha

Did you ever saw Unreal or Half-Life back then??? Both came in 98, and were gfx wise much more advanced. Just remember the rich enviroments and grafical effects of Unreal 1. And Heretic 2 that came later that year also used Q2 engine wich was almost as good as Unreals. This trailer is epic failior as the whole DNF saga is.

- Duke Nukem 5 in 2003 with the Unreal engine

- Duke Nukem 6 in 2007 with their own engine

- Duke Nukem 7 in 2010 with their own engine
