  • This week two peope have DIED at Eaton Cyn Falls attemting to do this. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CLIMB UP TO THE FALLS! Enjoy the falls from the ground and STAY ALIVE.

  • @jonsilence I appreciate your cautioning advice, that is a truly tragic story that saddens me deeply. This however is not Eaton Canyon Falls, it's Hermit Falls. There is a much easier path to climb up and down Hermit Falls. Also there are certain calculated risks I'm willing to take. I'm still more likely to die driving to Eaton Canyon Falls than I am exploring off trail a little bit. I refuse to live my life in fear, and adventure is always calling my name...

  • hey! great video. i am the guy that jumps off! ive been back a bunch of times since then. cool spot, but it seems to get alot of people in the summer. oh yeah and we measured the drop and it is only 45ft. not 55, but still pretty freakin awesome!

  • @Earthculturemusic Hey man! Do you mean you are the guy who jumped off in this video?

I did two more videos from there too. One is called Treasure Hunt and the other is called Cliff Jumping. Check um out, you might like them.

  • Thanks for sharing! Nice to see that some of our beloved San Gabriels survived that awful fire. We lost so much beautiful recreation area--and the wildlife even more--to that idiot that started the fire.

  • @Urbanwild1 I hear you man, I was in Michigan during the fire and I was so sad knowing so much of the forest was just burning up.

  • Nice vid. Nice jump too. Turned out cool on camera.

  • @Cr0cket20 Thanks! Those guys drove a couple hours to get there. Glad it's closer than that for me!

  • That looks like a beautiful SoCal oasis. The resolution is terrific. What sort of camera are you packing? Thanks for sharing.

  • @MosquitoFood Hey thanks! I'm actually using two. The hands free wide angle stuff is the "GoPro HD Helmet Hero" from REI or GoPro. com (waterproof to 180 feet). The other is a Sanyo Xacti VPC-WH1 (waterproof to 10 feet). I'm shooting with both set at HD 720P 30fps. I don't plan to take the Xacti in the water, but sometimes I get wet without intending to. I wrecked my still camera that way.

  • was climbing that wall at the end as scary as it looked on camera as it was in person?

  • @PougeMasterTapes Maybe if you are afraid of heights, but it's not a very difficult climb. Anyone with a little bit of confidence should be able to do it.

  • did I hear R2-D2 at 4:28? lol awesome. Love the footage man, i've never been to California.

  • @unatommer That was R2D2, apparently Verizon still works in this canyon a little. R2 alerts me when I get texts, e-mails, bbm's, facebooks, or tweets. He's a faithful lil droid.
