It's called a lag kill. The tomahawk corrects it's aim due to lag. The player is already within the tomahawk's path, or is supposed to be, but due to lag the player appears not to be. For that reason the tomahawk corrects itself and curves to hit them.

@GALVIN2300 Aiming the throw properly, knowing where an enemy hopefully should be, mapping out the trajectory in the game (even though for some reason, physics in this game suck. 45 degrees is not max distance, which it is in real life.)

Skill is more of the thought processes, versus just chucking it.

@GALVIN2300 If an enemy is calling a care package, ALWAYS aim a tomahawk there. After a bit of practice, you can get tons of kills doing that. Now that's skill.

Getting good at throwing where the care package is takes some skill, but whether you hit somebody is luck because you don't know for sure if somebody is there and you can't see them. Luck, in part, is ignorance. Where there is ignorance, there will be some degree of luck. I see what you're saying, though.
