@akinderreality it's not a Shamisen, Shamisen is a Plucked instrument Like a guitar or a Sitar..

it is a Kokyu, a Japanese Version of Erhu

@mikage06 Yes, the bowed instrument is a Kokyu, but the question to which I was responding was "what is the plucked instrument playing in the background?" which is a Shamisen. Best!
