The point, Glee doesn't ruin songs, it reminds persons of them. If i haven't watched glee, i wouldn't have know over 150 songs, and i wouldn't have listened to the original version... Glee helped me find good music.. And yes, some covers are maybe bad, but there are very good covers also..

Ok. I'm 46 years old and the biggest Morrison/Doors fan ever. Been faithfully listenting to them since one of my older brothers gave my a 'Doors 13' Grts hits album for Christmas in 1975 when I was 10. I play in a classic rock band now and we do 5 Doors covers, including this one. And I will say, that when Glee does a of a classic song- Journey's 'Don't Stop Believin'), my 10 son & 12 year old daughter become obsessed with it and want to hear the originals. So maybe it creates new genation fans

TBH I only like the songs they cover if either the vocals are better (i.e. 4 Minutes) or ones I didn't know before (i.e. Hello, I Love You), but the songs like Sing, I like the original better. My Mom always buys the original instead of the Glee cover when she hears a song she likes on it. She says the only thing she likes of the songs is what they do with it, not the cover. I would've never bought any Glee songs if my Aunt never sent me her iPad as a gift and didn't restore it.
