Well, I only have the tape recorded from the old single very long time ago,in which the quality is bad, another one is from FM radio station, including the DJ voice.
Yeah,me too, would like to search around the entire world to have it !
No,I think you right, cause I haven't seen those sngles since mid 70, as long as I can remember was that my dad bought two 45rpm singles of Johnny in late 50,I lsitened those songs since I was born, now I'm 53.
OK, It must be the other single which is To Proud as the A side,The Wish as B side,am I right?
I like the wish a lot,I think it was a great song too.
'Too Proud' is another great song sung by Johnny Nash, I've been looking for this song for many years but I still can't find it from music stores and Amazon. Do you have this song? Thanks
Compared to Victor Wood's "The Voice of Love" I can proudly say, Victor Wood's is way better that this original song by Johnny nash. Sorry, but I'm not a Victor Wood fan.
I'm in my senior year in Engineering in MLQU in Quiapo Manila when I first heard this song. This is so memorable to me. Oh what a beautiful song to remember
A song buried in the deepest recess of the brain now exhuming all those tender memories of the bygone years. Thanks for you memory diggers. You're adding more years to our lives, and enriching the meaning for which why life on this mortal probation is so precious.
It's one of the gems of the fifties. Pure, unadulterated LOVE.. I sang this as a growing boy in the caribbean when the only audio communication was the radio. The era of Love and "tabanca" songs. (those songs when one was grieving because you lost your loved one which left you in a stupor for days, perhaps months) Sad movies, Unchained melody,Great Pretender, Tell Laura I love her, You are my destiny, Lonely boy, Diana, Dear` Lonely heart, Twelvth of Never, Oh Carol, and on and on and on.
A great song from the late 50s era. Marvellous tune and Nash
great voice. I always thought he was white until many many years later I discovered that he was not!! I always thought the two Nashes who sang Voice of Love and I could see clearly now are different!! They are both the same Nash!!
Thank you for bringing back all the memory of the carefree grade 7 days when this wonderful song came out. It is a pity no oldie station would play songs like it.
This song has not been shelved into oblivion. Hearing it makes it more thrilling as the memories of the past flashed before my mind's eye... echoing the voice of childhood days full of love...
thx david0489...old songs relive pleasant memories that can spark new life in a man's life...quantum physics, remember?

Agreed. Too Proud is the best from Johnny Nash, and not available in CD. If you look harder, maybe you can still find the 45 single.
