@clebervic dont say that martial art is for kicking ass martial art is c8 for self defence not for hurting somebody and dont say that muay thai is better than wing chun because it depends on how will you train..........
not sure what they teach in Wing Chun but where I train in Muay Thai we are taught that martial arts begins and ends with respect..... if my wife was as disrespectful as yours id throw her in the ring with one of our female fighters, I guarantee she wouldnt talk shit after taking a couple of low kicks to the thigh.
@sikkafaliyarrak wing chun doesn't rely on size or strength, the structure gives the power. the art was developed by a woman with this principle in mind. if the style relies on strength, the stronger fighter will always win.
I feel bad for ANYONE posting MA clips on Youtube in this day and age where because of TV, Movies and MMA everyone thinks they knows "better". Any kind of full-contact fighting is hard and unless you have done it you would be surprised how "bad" even people with many years of training can look. Props to those from a TMA background who step up. People who make ultra negative comments you can rest assured have NEVER done any full-contact fighting in their lives.
It seems like you dont have a steady defense toward hand combat, you leave your face open. if you were to go up against a skilled boxer you would have a lot of trouble. also you do a lot of chasing and crossing of your legs, you should be cautious for a push kick or a round house while your chasing.
ive just started wing chun 3 months ago, and i cant see its application in a ring. Gloves cancel out your hand techniques, and drag on a fight that wing chun is made to end in about 3 seconds! ive trawled around and see loads of vid of people weakly chain punching each others face guarded helmets, and am thinking thats not wing chun. My teacher teaches precision, stregnth, and how to despatch very quickly, so none of this youtube stuff looks right! This ones as close as ive seen tho!
@hudders128 You're gonna get the crap kicked out of you really quick if you don't do any ring training. Ring training, or at least an open sparring session, not chi sau, will help you with timing and actual combat application. With that said, while you do lose some techniques, there's still quite a bit you can do with open finger gloves on. And heads up, if the other guy knows how to fight it won't be a 3 second fight.
@vangtk I see your point. i keep asking can we get the pads on and start using this stuff? no. maybe later on i guess. but many of the moves just arnt ring freindly. you can easily put someone out of action for months. mechanical advantage on an elbow and its hospital job. yeah you can punch someone in the head all day and make a right mess but you go home a bit uglier thats all. WC has a lot of non ring moves. and the things you might use are limited so in ring its impotent
@Misterelblag THIS IS NOT RELA WING AND KARATE THIS IS SOME OHTER STYLE HAHAHAHAH FREE STYLE :O. . . I TRAINED KARATE AND NOW I'M TRAIN WING CHUN AN THIS FIGHT IS JOKE THE REAL WING CHUN OR KARATE ARE SO DIFFERENT AND RELA WING CHUN MASTER OR KARATE MASTER MAY KILL SOME LIKE THIS GUY IN 5 SECOND . . . . ;)BUT THE RELA MASTER NEVER FIGHT LIKE THIS AND NEVER FIGHT LIKE THIS GUY FOR MONEY OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT
why is there only 10 sec of grappling?! what happens when u guys r on the street n get taken down..? well i know the answer yall are gonna wishing u knew more than wing chun
-I respect the dude for trying his stuff in a full-contact environment, but that, my friends, is not jeet kune do. At most, it might be wing chun do with a couple of entries from bjj.
I find your comments to be a little on the racist and moronic side of things. It is ignorant undeserving people such as yourself that lead other countries to think that we're nothing but a bunch uneducated, close minded and incredibly rude Americans. I also hope that you don't have any kids that you can fill with your meaningless hateful thoughts. I also would like to see you go a round with this guy or any other gung fu fighter. Only problem is you aren't worth wasting the energy.
its not only WC he is using he is mixing with some other stuff, putre wing chun wouldnt even be usable, its too agressive and violent. =/ interesting moves though =)
Wing Chun never looks good in competition. Everything about it doesn't translate and ends up looking amateur-ish (no offense against the poster of the video) Gloves alone severely limit it's effectiveness, and in almost any kind of competition, technique goes out the window. That goes for any martial art, just watch some karate point tourneys. You would think some of those guys have never trained... ever.
Fuck this Kung Fu bullshit. A Muay Thai fighter will kick your ass 10 times out of 10. If you want to fight real a combat art, not stuff that doesn't work in a fight.
For People who think this is "boxing", well apparently either you don't know what's martial arts or you're just a movie watcher. IF you notice obviously, Adrain(am i right?) is using Wing chun, k not perfect, but definitely geniune. And the reason i say why the karate practitioner is weak? He seems as though he didn't spar in his life, and only uses futile kicks and doesn't even apply his block techniques.
Hence yea, dear uploader, you are strong, but tone up n you'll be awesome.
You're the guy with the shorts? Honestly, i don't mind you being black or not, i'm not racist. Just, i was turn off at first at why is a fat guy like that fighting a karate user. Apparently, judging the book by the covers was wrong. I must admit, in this case , you're definitely better than that karate guy. But to be honest,as an ex-karate practitioner, i do not think your opponent is even consider "average". Plain weak in fact.
Watching this..And studying sifu Lees' methods for over 20 years, and also being a student of the Martial arts I'm very knowledgeable of martial arts. Knowing Wing chun was Sifu Lee's main "art" and breaking off to put to gather J. K. D leads me too 2 points..1 J.K.D did not have a belt system. so why did the J.K.D Guy have a black belt on if he was rep J.K.D 2. Never seen 1 trap in that sparring session which is the main focus's of Wing Chun...Congrats on your victory and keep up the training..
@Thecreatech You did great! I love traditional martial arts myself. Don't let these weekend warriors have to say to you man. You deff can see the training you put into your martial arts from you moves. Keep up the Wing Chun!...and keep building up your chain punch speed! I noticed that you have the form, and power, you get that speed man, you will be unstoppable!
Nice work dude, only main problem I saw was you slipped into a bit of boxing about half way through but you tidied up your stance after that. Keep up the good work :D
@jc3dproductions yes I did slip and wished I would have instead attacked with a low straight punch instead of a upper cut. Maybe it would have connected if I did. I'm still doing what I love and hope that I will react differently next time.
is grabbing not allowed in wing shun or something? i see plenty of perfect opportunities for a choke that'll end the fight but these guys punch their way out of it for some reason.
if you can win a fight without hitting the opponent, do so.
@a7xwidow ive only been doing it for a little while but i think not in my lineage (someone correct me if im wrong about others WC styles) ive only seen a kinda pull, and throat kind strike grab but certainly nothing compared to aikido, ju jitsu, etc Then again im not a high level practictioner so best to ask a sifu!
@TheGlenit Hey, you are right about branching out and learning different techniques from other martial arts. It seems people like to limit themselves to one set style or one martial art form. For Wing Chun, if you look into youtube, or google about Wing Chun you will notice that there are some pretty effective, efficient, and simple techniques that will render an attacker very quickly with little to no energy lost. That is what Wing Chun is about.Deflect, and punish at the same time.
in martial you have 30 secons to finish ur oponent it needs to be fast.. im telling u..
kung fu its just... art....wat u need is kick boxing or jet kune do ..i used to practice kun fu but i notice it didnt work....kickboxing is realty good but its better with jet kune do u get faster like that,i had a fight 1 month ago.i use a technique that i name its/ fingerprint \...
@208dany1 Kickboxing NO! If people plan to fight for major career in MMA or on the street for survival, they should stay AWAY from Kickboxing and regular boxing. Sorry, but the limited training you get is pitiful compared to Muay Thai and Karate styles. You get excellent conditioning from it though, but you really can only defend against other boxers. I'm a karateka myself, and I always drive the centerline on boxers, cause they don't know how to guard it, or kicks even.
sort of disagree with these kinds of matches because it seems to be going against the purpose of wing chun. Although Jeet Kune Do is something which is meant as a means of attack as well wing chun is different, elegant and very effective form of defence. Also the person who wins this fight does a good showing and there have been a lot of rude comments about him which quite frankly absurd.
Please can someone tell me if I am wrong. I am reading comments about MMA being better here but MMA is a battle between 2 competitors looking for openings to win a 1on1 confrontation. Wing Chun is a defence form used in a war, battle, when an someone is being attacked. If you went for a wing chun expert they should be able to use your force against you&imobilise you. Wing chun was not mean to be used in a mma/fight like scenario where you look for openings so it seems not so effective here. I...
@boxinggreatness I was under the impression Wing Chun had challenge matches as part of the traditional training. Id also say that some wing chun is defensive but in an clinical offensive fashion (best defence is a good offence). Im not sure id class it as elegant when you compare to other forms of kung fu, its skillfull but direct, at least the lineage im learning.
@TheGlenit maybe you are right i havent a clue. I heard it was made by nuns to protect themselves and when i see the stance and how it is used, it looks like a counter attack weapon primarily. Maybe the modern form of teaching it makes it lose the traditons it was founded on so it doesnt quite work anymore.
@gojuryu3 where do you think mma came from?.....mma takes from all the traditional arts, JUST REMEMBER IT CALLED MIXED MARTIAL ARTS....? why is that so hard for peole to get
wow the time people take out to down another person that go's to show how said people are the thing most of you guys may not even last a long as he did what i would like to see every one that had something to say put your own video on here and show the world how to do it right i all ready know more then half not... and cant .........in Fack why not jump your ass in the ring with him i bet he kick that ass the same way if not worst right on you tube....
@webherring I think prior to this fight sparring was a part of my training where I was most deficit. when we do spar it's mostly light spar, glove face mask, or glove and eye protection. We spar a lot more full contact sometimes but with headgear and gloves. I learned a lot by watching my mistakes and from the comments good and bad.
I think it's pretty good for first fight. Some may say it doesn't look like wing chun but as Bruce Lee said, the highest technique is to have no technique. Not an idealized theoretical perfect but you tried to stick to wing chun during the fight and didn't completely abandon your training. Most plans go out the window after you get hit in the face, so I admire your courage under pressure. May I ask how you normally train? Light or full sparring? Gloves? Helmet?
@hppyhckr so true bro my sifu got on me for bouncing and taught us how to take advantage of a persons bouncing. I learned a lot and still continue to make mistakes but that part of the process of kung fu = learning a skill through hard work. Thanks for watching
WOW...that was great i know you could have done better but theres always a next time and man that other guy was great as well...wish i could learn from the both of you because Bruce Lee was not around to let it develop so still you tried your best! man i wish he was that would be one AWESOME Master
those people saying they know what it is and what isnt... the first thing to learn about martial arts is to train your mind and spirit, instead of speaking nonsense and free agraviations
Wing Chun doesnt look Like how you train when it comes to an actual fight in every instance.. It never looks how its taught, training and practice is simply an Idea of how to apply but when it all boils down and shit hits the fan it isnt how pretty it looks its how its applied.. Not Bad My man Oh By the way, JKD isnt all that credible, Bruce Lee wasnt around long enough for that art to Develop, Advance or Evolve let alone be taught correctly JUN FAN or whomever i just dont feel it was taught
your welcome.. yea without a doubt, im not tryna take anything from you or him. I was Only Stating my opinion about that art, but definitly some good shit
pretty lame what a joke... i didnt see NO Jeet Kune Do at all and his Wing Chun is weak, im sick and tired of people thinking they know Jeet Kune Do just because they watch Bruce Lee movie's but in all fact they dont know shit if they dont study the original Jun Fan, fucking lame dont try to title yourself something your not.
Jeet Kune Do isnt all that credible, Bruce Lee wasnt around long enough for that art to Develop, Advance or Evolve let alone be taught correctly i just dont feel it was taught with it intent. Also if you really understood the Chinese and especially Bruce Lee, They Never wanted their art taught to Western Civilization so why would Bruce Teach This. Grand Master YIP MAN said it best in his Buyer beware statement " KNOW THE SOURCE OF THE WATER FROM WHICH YOU DRINK"
I agree, its so lame, sick of seeing fights like this all the style goes out the window and just becomes brawling. I want to see some awesome fighting where they actually use their martial arts, not brawling or boxing. I want to see TECHNIQUE !!!
First off if you want to be honest Wing Chun is hard to do most techiques when your wearing gloves, Its not a Show off art.. its for fighting with the intent to cause serious bodily harm. Gloves takes away from the art
@kimosabe14 boxing is technque, just cause some one's got boxing gloves doesn't make it boxing. and these dudes probebly got more technque then u man if not then u make video
wing chun? man his techniques are weak however he has a lot of muscles... the referee does probably not even know when to stop them... the wing chun of this man was not bad but his stance chain punch defense looked weak to me
OMG,I cannot believe you got bunch of dislikes,For a southern Chinese martial arts practitioner, one can totaly see you use comletely wing chun application, center horizontal rapid punch, short low kicks, center line guards,it is done to the teeth,if you the gloves are not restricting you,you would've killed him.
the black guy fails at wing chun..... i guess he dropped out cuz he couldn't handle the pain of having to hit wooden dummies to practice his blocking.
It doesn't matter what martial art u do, its about how hard u train and being determined to push your limits beyond. There are people out there who just do enough to gain belts/sashes/ranks and there are people who do so much more, who are dedicated and determined.
I do kyokushin and its my favorite because i do it, RESPECT to all other martial arts styles out there.
All i saw was a fat black guy bulldozing a little skinny retard. The funny little foot skippy "I need to go to the toilet" stammers before he goes in are hilarious.
i have studyed wing tsun and other arts for some one who do wt or wc is the foot work the stance was wide and open and u was bit on toes why did you win this fight is it style or you just that bit better fighter, what i see in end that one u this is it turend into boxing wc has streight punches u was a bit swinging u are bit bigger than the karate guy, it no mater about sticking to treditoinel syles u adapted to win so if it turend it boxing it no problem
I mean, Imma give props to the WC guy for staying true to his style. Not too sure about the weight matchup but still. However, my main question is how many people are going to call themselves JKD practitioners, and seemingly take nothing from Bruce Lee's work?
@chinaman300 I appreciate all of your comments even the really ignorant ones about being fat or black (another reason why I train harder because there are fools like you some of guys out in the world, and unfortunately some day you same fools will have children and pass on your ideology of hate, ignorance, lack of respect) I find most of you arm chair warriors humorous. Most train but have no fight video, not techniques with your classmates most of all I learned from every comment. thk U!
@Thecreatech yes agree, the people that make comments about skin colour and race are ignorant bystanders who cannot be bothered to excel to anything in life. Good video and demonstration. There both great fighters.
@Thecreatech Forget the racists and the haters man, You are talented. Good to see a fellow martial artist applying his skills to actual fighting. Keep showing people that Wing Chun is indeed applicable to "real world" fighting so that all those boxers and bjj fighters can shut their mouths. Wing Chun is not for show like most think, It was actually developed for street fighting and close quarters combat. Yes some forms of gongfu are only for performance but Wing Chun ain't one of em. Respect.
It's clear that the guys are amateurs, but that is the thing!!! It's actually interesting to watch these videos: guys do lots of mistakes, lots of gaps in technique and so on... very different from professional MMA match, - much closer to what a fight would look like if two ordinary guys fought on the street! In short, great tournament - everyone can test himself there.
@gojuryu3 sorry to dissapoint you bro .. I love traditional martial arts and I respect all arts especially yours, but this was my first fight, and since then I have trained to stay grounded in kung fu.
@gojuryu3 mma is taking over because its much more practical. in this day n age its to dangerous to do fancy moves and alot of traditional techniques are jsut plan and simply outdated. tradition is cool and all but to become a truely great u have to move forward.
@navyteccs mma is nothing more than mixed martial arts. right? it took the sporting aspects of various traditional arts and formed something more suitable to the ring. you say fancy moves? those were invented in the last century. more traditional forms of martial arts are much more straight to the point and without the fanciful wushu moves. even still the fanciful moves hold various attacks, counters. im tired of kung fu getting a bad rap man....
@opticannon It's because kung fu takes a ridiculous amount of years of practice to make it almost perfect and than those that are masters in the art you never see in the ring because it wasn't meant to be used for the entertainment of others it was made to simply defend yourself when necessary. I agree it has gotten a bad rap either through amateurs using it in the public setting or just not enough people continuing the art like it use to be. Anyone nowadays can open a gym for martial arts.
@rge116 i agree with everything you said. accept for the fact of it taking a ridiculous amount of years of practice to make it almost perfect. its just one more piece of political bullshit. yet, it does have a lot to do with the students ( whats the word im looking for ) well, i hate to say talent but....if you want to be a doctor you eat, live and sleep medicine in fact lets simply say kung fu as it translates roughly to time and energy.
Good fight. Only thing i have to say, make a point to use wing chun techniques. i seem to do better when i intentionally work in the techniques. just my thoughts. thanks for posting.
@VapourXY I had bruises and so did my opponent I know that anyone who trains and actually fights. Knows that it doesn't look like it does on TV or when your training with your buddy I respect your opinion here on Utube there are far 2 many arm chair tough guy who comment but dont fight I could back and forth and stoop the level of a 7th grader calling names, but what separates real martial artist from the ones you may perceive that exist in your perfect world is humility. Thanks for viewing!
is it me or does anyone else find the woman talking in this video annoying? they are competators let them compete without that instigation bull shit. i found the proclaimed "karate and jeet kune do competator" very unskilled for practicing those arts. oh well the better man won. wing chun is a great art
@ThaPython04 if she doesn't watch her tongue in the future, one of the fighters might hear her and turn snap on her...u never know. very annoying indeed..ppl need to just observe a match and say nothing..speak afterwards...it shows respect for the arts and the fighters as well....but thats just my opinion
@hollisprophet its rediculous that nobody said anything to her. At one of my tournaments if anyone talks like that they get kicked out. It enfuriates me, like when she said "that aint nothin" when the fighter with the karate discipline kicked the fighter with the wing chun discipline. there is no room for trash talk in combative sports
@ThaPython04 yea that line really pissed me off too mann...some women think that because they are 'women' they can speak they're mind where ever they are, when ever they want to...definitely not a chick I'd date....and if I did, I'd correct her on her rude etiquette, that's for sure..
i'm a reasonable person, i'm not rude by nature (much lol) but this looked like sloppy kick boxing. Kungfu isn't just a fighting style its my culture to see it like that is kinda sad
first wingchun should have a sturdier stance like most kungfu stances do winngchung both attacks and defends at the SAMEtime, this was sad.
jeet kungdo fighter was just as sad, sloppy and didn't utrilise the famous boxing shuffle bruce uses. Jeet is to intercept moves not throw random floppy punches
THe guy doing the Wing chun is moving around too much and moving his feet to much, and isnt jeet kun do a altered fourm of Wing Chun made by bruce lee?
How many years experience have you trained, as I didn't think your stance was right and you didn't use many combinations of the art, it was more like a boxing match! I am not a hater, I have trained under Master James Sinclair who was a student of IP Chun, kinda different Wing Chun we practise here to what you just showed. Hats of for uploading video though. Respect.
@LexLuth0r @ I trained for a couple years then stopped and started again around 06-07. I totally agree I made a lot of mistakes in this 2009 fight which my Sifu's kicked my ass for, but I am learning more and more everyday. Again not making any excuses but this was my first tournament ever. I hope to compete again this year and hopefully do better.
haters gonna hate, fakers gonna fake, loud bitches never hesitate, fat gay black man eats too much cake....that's a little bit of R.Kelly just for you gay, retarded, ass-out fatty...go find a midget to beat up on with your total lack of style and skill. Slap slap slap, piss on you, what I'm gonna do, I want to piss on yyyooouuu... sorry, too much Dave Chappelle..but seriously...you and that loud whore, go step into oncoming traffic, thanks....EPIC FAIL
@HiddenStarrzz your funny and if you want to see if my wing chun is real shoot my a private message and we can set something up. I will humbly like to spar with you .. I may lose .. I may win but you will know that what I do is real .. btw still not one fight on your page .. at least I had the balls to get in the ring .. that was 2009 .. its now 2011 and I always strive to get better not the best but surely not the worst. Have a great day and please continue to watch my video's .. thanks!
@HiddenStarrzz This is da same thing that bitches do…hate and talk shit online. I'm in michigan and any time u want your month leakin come c me and I'll be sure to do it for u. U think u a big man talkin sh*t online but I bet you don't talk that shit in person. By da way, aren't u 31 years old? U act like your a child. I bet u still stay in your bitch mom's basement LMAO/SMH…what a loser. Leave this man n his lady alone n go get a life loser.
@yungfitted13pa always looking to train with those who are better than me so I can continue to learn .. shoot me a private message when your ready for some friendly sparring. Thanks
@Thecreatech i give you props man you take their shit talking in stride so you get my respect. it does look tough itself and i doubt any of them could take you.
@DaMaxxy that man is a red belt in his respective discipline and I saw three of his other fight vids .. He is not inexperience .. I won't take anything from that man, myself for that matter. When I see your fight videos then I can I respect YOUR point of view
@MegaHexin@MegaHexin If someone does a crescent kick to your face and knocks you out cold or wins .. It may not be in the official wing chun curriculum but wing chun principles are applied which is efficiency, economy of movement, control, and ferocity. Anything that comes from my fist that uses WC principles is then deemed wing chun. Open your mind I Won against an experienced fighter .your comments are just opinions which are like assholes. Everyone has one and they usually stink!

You would think some of those guys have never trained... ever.

idontfkinknow1234 6 months ago

Keep up the good work :D
jc3dproductions 6 months ago
@jc3dproductions yes I did slip and wished I would have instead attacked with a low straight punch instead of a upper cut. Maybe it would have connected if I did. I'm still doing what I love and hope that I will react differently next time.

is grabbing not allowed in wing shun or something? i see plenty of perfect opportunities for a choke that'll end the fight but these guys punch their way out of it for some reason.
if you can win a fight without hitting the opponent, do so.
a7xwidow 6 months ago
@a7xwidow ive only been doing it for a little while but i think not in my lineage (someone correct me if im wrong about others WC styles) ive only seen a kinda pull, and throat kind strike grab but certainly nothing compared to aikido, ju jitsu, etc Then again im not a high level practictioner so best to ask a sifu!
TheGlenit 6 months ago
@TheGlenit Hey, you are right about branching out and learning different techniques from other martial arts. It seems people like to limit themselves to one set style or one martial art form. For Wing Chun, if you look into youtube, or google about Wing Chun you will notice that there are some pretty effective, efficient, and simple techniques that will render an attacker very quickly with little to no energy lost. That is what Wing Chun is about.Deflect, and punish at the same time.

208dany1 6 months ago
@208dany1 Kickboxing NO! If people plan to fight for major career in MMA or on the street for survival, they should stay AWAY from Kickboxing and regular boxing. Sorry, but the limited training you get is pitiful compared to Muay Thai and Karate styles. You get excellent conditioning from it though, but you really can only defend against other boxers. I'm a karateka myself, and I always drive the centerline on boxers, cause they don't know how to guard it, or kicks even.
HairofSteel555 6 months ago
sort of disagree with these kinds of matches because it seems to be going against the purpose of wing chun. Although Jeet Kune Do is something which is meant as a means of attack as well wing chun is different, elegant and very effective form of defence. Also the person who wins this fight does a good showing and there have been a lot of rude comments about him which quite frankly absurd.
boxinggreatness 6 months ago
Please can someone tell me if I am wrong. I am reading comments about MMA being better here but MMA is a battle between 2 competitors looking for openings to win a 1on1 confrontation. Wing Chun is a defence form used in a war, battle, when an someone is being attacked. If you went for a wing chun expert they should be able to use your force against you&imobilise you. Wing chun was not mean to be used in a mma/fight like scenario where you look for openings so it seems not so effective here. I...
boxinggreatness 6 months ago
@boxinggreatness I was under the impression Wing Chun had challenge matches as part of the traditional training. Id also say that some wing chun is defensive but in an clinical offensive fashion (best defence is a good offence). Im not sure id class it as elegant when you compare to other forms of kung fu, its skillfull but direct, at least the lineage im learning.
TheGlenit 6 months ago
@TheGlenit maybe you are right i havent a clue. I heard it was made by nuns to protect themselves and when i see the stance and how it is used, it looks like a counter attack weapon primarily. Maybe the modern form of teaching it makes it lose the traditons it was founded on so it doesnt quite work anymore.

sh9683 7 months ago
@webherring I think prior to this fight sparring was a part of my training where I was most deficit. when we do spar it's mostly light spar, glove face mask, or glove and eye protection. We spar a lot more full contact sometimes but with headgear and gloves. I learned a lot by watching my mistakes and from the comments good and bad.
Thecreatech 7 months ago
I think it's pretty good for first fight. Some may say it doesn't look like wing chun but as Bruce Lee said, the highest technique is to have no technique. Not an idealized theoretical perfect but you tried to stick to wing chun during the fight and didn't completely abandon your training. Most plans go out the window after you get hit in the face, so I admire your courage under pressure. May I ask how you normally train? Light or full sparring? Gloves? Helmet?
webherring 7 months ago
you bounce around to much for wing chun.
I've been practicing wing chun for 7 years, and i've done dozens of other arts.
Don't lean into your punches, real power comes from being rooted in your stance.
I'm no expert by far, just sharing the things I noticed.
Best of luck out there

Wing Chun doesnt look Like how you train when it comes to an actual fight in every instance.. It never looks how its taught, training and practice is simply an Idea of how to apply but when it all boils down and shit hits the fan it isnt how pretty it looks its how its applied.. Not Bad My man Oh By the way, JKD isnt all that credible, Bruce Lee wasnt around long enough for that art to Develop, Advance or Evolve let alone be taught correctly JUN FAN or whomever i just dont feel it was taught

Jeet Kune Do isnt all that credible, Bruce Lee wasnt around long enough for that art to Develop, Advance or Evolve let alone be taught correctly i just dont feel it was taught with it intent. It doesn't matter what martial art u do, its about how hard u train and being determined to push your limits beyond. There are people out there who just do enough to gain belts/sashes/ranks and there are people who do so much more, who are dedicated and determined.

navyteccs 5 months ago
@navyteccs mma is nothing more than mixed martial arts. right? it took the sporting aspects of various traditional arts and formed something more suitable to the ring. you say fancy moves? those were invented in the last century. more traditional forms of martial arts are much more straight to the point and without the fanciful wushu moves. even still the fanciful moves hold various attacks, counters. im tired of kung fu getting a bad rap man....
opticannon 5 months ago
@opticannon It's because kung fu takes a ridiculous amount of years of practice to make it almost perfect and than those that are masters in the art you never see in the ring because it wasn't meant to be used for the entertainment of others it was made to simply defend yourself when necessary. I agree it has gotten a bad rap either through amateurs using it in the public setting or just not enough people continuing the art like it use to be. Anyone nowadays can open a gym for martial arts.
rge116 5 months ago
@rge116 i agree with everything you said. accept for the fact of it taking a ridiculous amount of years of practice to make it almost perfect. its just one more piece of political bullshit. yet, it does have a lot to do with the students ( whats the word im looking for ) well, i hate to say talent but....if you want to be a doctor you eat, live and sleep medicine in fact lets simply say kung fu as it translates roughly to time and energy.

@hollisprophet its rediculous that nobody said anything to her. At one of my tournaments if anyone talks like that they get kicked out. i'm a reasonable person, i'm not rude by nature (much lol) but this looked like sloppy kick boxing. Kungfu isn't just a fighting style its my culture to see it like that is kinda sad
first wingchun should have a sturdier stance like most kungfu stances do winngchung both attacks and defends at the SAMEtime, this was sad.

@DaMaxxy that man is a red belt in his respective discipline and I saw three of his other fight vids .. He is not inexperience .. I won't take anything from that man, myself for that matter. When I see your fight videos then I can I respect YOUR point of view

@MegaHexin @MegaHexin If someone does a crescent kick to your face and knocks you out cold or wins ..
