I am pretty sure this was filmed during one of the many festivals that are held on the Ithaca Commons. People dont just start squaredancing at the drop of a hat, haha.

Ithaca NY is also the town where you find Cornell Univ. & Ithaca College~both well est. schools. There is a big varity that live in this area~ collegic, ethnic, lakeshore folks, international, bussiness people, many different types. But this is what makes this town unique. I grew up with in the area~and i enjoyed it here.

I grew up in Ithaca..It once was an interesting place to live. Something(s) really changed over the years. The video you are seeing here is the middle of the Commons which for all purposes is literally the center of the city. Great place to live...Crappy economy unless you work in the academic community. Spring and Fall are amazing but the winters will kick your ass.

@michil93 hey this is bellagirl4 but on a different account, Ithaca is gorgeous. It has a low crime rate, it is peaceful and has some really cool areas. As I said before in my early post from 3 years ago.. yes there are hippies but personally I find that MUCH better than there being violent gangs (hippies are nice). I have lived in Ithaca my whole life, and I love it here. I suggest you visit Ithaca, it is a wonderful area with so much to experience!
